Dave Dameshek needs to do an N”if”L on if we had taken Manziel over Martin.

Woulda been the most embarrassing thing to happen to the franchise in my lifetime. You know Johnny woulda partied way harder in his home state and America’s Team than Cleveland. He wouldn’t have made it through his rookie year.

The press would have made it a clown show.

I'm still disappointed we didn't get Manziel. He was right there for the taking.

Incredible that both Martin and Donald were in the same draft. They will go down as two of the greatest players of all time.

I wanted Donald so bad I was crushed when stupid Jeff Fischer took him before us. Having said that the solace is at least getting the same caliber player on the Oline

Should've gone with Johnny Football.

Somewhere in a parallel universe, we’re all ruing Manziel over Martin, but we’re pleased with Watt over Taco.

Also I’m taller and more handsome there for some reason.

Zach Martin is great player, but I might he in the minority here with our OL this year, why can't we get that 3-4 yard bust or convert 3 and 1 and 4 and 1 running behind him? I know there are 4 other OL and he can't play all the DL by himself and I may be unfair, but need to impose our will on DL and we haven't this year
So of course you blame the one true All Pro on the line. You need to retake football 101.

There are plenty of QBs that have never once had an All-Pro Lineman on their team.

I know Dak appreciates it, as he has had between 1 and 3 All-Pros every year of his career.
It's a huge luxury

We also have maybe the deepest WR group in Cowboy history right now and a very good RB tandem.

It does not get any better set up than that.
He’s also had poor defenses most of his career. We could’ve beaten the Packers and the Rams in the playoffs had we had a worthy defense.

The Oline has underachieved this year particularly when it comes to run blocking. It sucks but it’s a fact. Part due to injury and part due to subpar play. Our Olinemen have been losing far too many one on one battles.

He is a bad mofo!!!

Our line was so good there for a minute. Wish we still had Fredbeard! Speaking of, hope he is doing well in health and in life.

Its all relative
If you study most other libes around the league, youll find we are still one of the better units.
We fans (and QB) have been spoiled over the last 6-7 years

I don’t know if you are trying to funny but Manziel as Tony Romo’s backup would have been fun to see. Supposedly Romo was not supportive of Dak, can you imagine the quarterback meetings. I will also say this half the board would be for Manziel and the other half would be for Romo. It would have been a glorious mess.:laugh::laugh::laugh::(:eek::oops::eek::eek::facepalm:

Oh yes, absolute sarcasm and a bit of self depreciating. I was excited he dropped. When we picked Martin I said this is the smart choice but I was a little disappointed.

Not sure on Romo, I thought he was really gracious in his exit. I also thought he deserved better. He carried us a long time and made up for so many deficiencies ranging from coaching, defense and lack of a run game. Unfortunately his body gave out and we had to move forward. I give him a lot of credit for how he handled everything. He knew he was the better qb at the time, but accepted Dak was the future.
