Well, there is also more than 1 way to win a football game.
Good coaches can design game plans, that exploit another teams weaknesses, and good players have the talent to implement these game plans. We have good coaching and good players!!
The Forty Whiners are good, but they have weaknesses. Hel_ they lost 7 games this year, already!!!
On defense the Whiners biggest weakness is their CB’s, and defense in general, when it comes to giving up big plays down the field.
We need to exploit this weakness, SKIN THIS CAT, by often using, the game plan Tennessee’s offense used in the 2nd half vs the Whiners. Tennessee’s offense max protected Tannehill. They left in 7-8 guys to block and sent at least 1 receiver deep. They only had 1 legitimate receiver( Brown) and moved the ball up and down the field. Also, the Whiners DL was getting extremely tired. I remember seeing Bosa early 4th quarter. He was worn out(skinned)!!!!
On offense the Whiners biggest weakness, by far, is Jimmy G(Gimpy).
Shanahan makes it sooooo easy for Gimpy. Usually, Gimpy only needs to make a few throws a game because their running game is so effective. We need to sell out to stop the run, so Gimpy has to make throws throughout the game. If Gimpy, does not have a dominant running game he will make mistakes!!!!!!
To slow down the Whiners run game and make Gimpy beat us, our defense needs to play with 5 defensive lineman in running situations. Bring in an extra big body and change our fronts to mess up the Whiners blocking schemes. We can still play zone, or man, with 5 DL in the game. If playing zone, with 5 DL, we can drop one of our athletic DE’s into the flat to cover that zone, OR drop a DT into the middle of the field, and send Mika to pounce on Gimpy.
There are many ways to beat the Whiners, SKIN THIS CAT!!! Two ways to do it, is to exploit there biggest weaknesses, on Defense and Offense!
