Not surprising. His burst was just gone after the injury. Really dumb of the team to hide this and then continue to feature him. Kudos to Zeke for trying but at some point the organization has to step in and change things.

It's why we lost this game.

The best series was when Pollard was in and we mixed up the play selection. We scored 7. After that, I don't believe we handed off to him again. We just trotted out a guy on the downside of his career with a partially torn PCL.

*** this coaching staff.

Yeah, I really thought this as well. Thoroughly expected us to surprise the Niners by featuring Pollard over Zeke.

The team is just dumb...this explains the questionable decision-making and all the penalties too. So they knew Zeke was hurt and had an opportunity to rest him last week in a meaningless game but still threw him out there to get 1000 yards in 17 games.

LMAOOOOOOOO

So we watched a hurt RB run for 3 YPC the whole second half of the season and in the playoffs.

Meanwhile Pollard leading the league in YPC

Great job by the coaches. Just hang up job.

Absolute travesty what happened to Tony Pollard this year.

All Zeke is good for now is blocking. That counts for more than it should for a RB who can't run, since we don't have many players who can't actually block....

Cool. I admire the toughness, but You still completely debilitated our run game.

That falls more on the coaches for not doing the right thing and sitting him. The players ran this ship, and it ended up sinking.
Right, it's not Zeke's fault. Pollard had 4 carries. It's been that way weekly. Sit Zeke a few games.

At least 3 or 4 drives went no where because of 2nd down screens to Zeke that went no where. Pollard does way more with his touches, but can't pass block as well.

Damn disappointing. His “playing through it” to prove he is tough and can “do his job” hurt the team.

Not sure why Pollard got minimal touches— have to assume (and hope) it’s due to his injury— bc if he was able and willing to tote the rock— it is absolutely criminal that he wasn’t used more

I suspected this. I also knew the unwritten rules of someone with his paycheck is to "suck it up"

That is how Jerry operates. He did not appreciate "losing" to Zeke during negotiations. Jerry was definitely embarrassed by this and was not going to rest until he "got his revenge". I guarantee you when Jerry gave Zeke that money he told him "I don't want to hear anything about you being hurt"!! So many players missed games this year because they were hurt...and the Cowboys should have rested Zeke a couple of weeks and got someone else ready to play. It would have played dividends later in the year. Handing the ball off to him most of the time....was simply a give up play. Why must fans suffered through millionaires and billionaires playing these type of mind games?

The Cowboys couldn't have gone with Pollard and their 3rd string RB? They wouldn't have been any worse than Zeke.
