If we were the Cleveland Browns or the Detroit Lions whose fans don't have realistic expectations for a Super Bowl and merely console themselves in playing well, winning a few games and maybe sneaking into the playoffs, I would say "Yes!"

But as a Dallas Cowboys fan, I expect our quarterback to contribute more in getting us deep into the playoffs, i.e., at minimum the NFC Championship and at most the Super Bowl. If that is the standard, the answer is "No!"

I really had high hopes for Dak after his rookie year. I've given him the benefit of the doubt and have been patient, thinking he just needs to grow into the position.

It's YEAR 6!

He has weapons. Yet he can't get it done. He is hesitant to pull the trigger. He doesn't trust himself, and I don't think that's going to change. He is what he is.

Unfortunately, we're stuck with him. So unless we get blue chippers surrounding him, he's going to tickle our bellies with victories over NFC East teams and the least of these among other teams in the league, but he'll come up short in the playoffs.

That's likely our future with him, with Jerry Jones and with any coach Jerry Jones hires.

No. The same issues that plagued him early in his career still plague him now. We see the same things he had problems with even coming out of the draft. Inaccurate ball placement hasn’t improved at all, even on his completions. That’s one of the biggest tells on how good a QB can really throw. For every perfectly thrown ball, there’s 3 that are bounced, over/under thrown or too far behind/in front of his targets. Our WRs have to be contortionists on top of running good routes and catching the ball.

There needs to be a "maybe" option. He is not Brady, Rodgers, Mahomes. But its not like there are bunch of those type of guys standing in line at the unemployment office. Team and coaching will have to get a lot better to win with Dak.

I'm not thrilled. It's been a downhill trend the second half of the year and I can't tell if it's the QB, the OC, the OL, or what but something has been horribly off. I voted yes because I do feel like he can be salvaged but I wouldn't be opposed to drafting a QB if one fell in our lap and developing him till it's viable to move on from 4. Today left a bad taste in my mouth. Too many missed opportunities, although I think Wilson should have made that catch. Bottom line: he has to do better.

The problem with Dak is he processes too slow and has a slow release with a borderline arm strength that is not that accurate. He is such a hard worker but you can't make up for talent against the better teams where you have to throw quicker into tighter windows.

I was a Dak fan since 2016, not anymore. I am done with this loser. We will never win with him.
I’m with you. This describes me exactly. I’m done. I’ll wait until they figure out how to get rid of him.

I grew to love Dak. He has caught an enormous amount of undue hate. He's been blamed when he shouldn't have been.

All that said, he can't be held in the same regard as Staubach and Aikman and lose this game. This was a winnable game. He had opportunities. Dak had opportunities to change the entire narrative. He just didn't get it done.

So, am I happy? No. The best players play their best games in the playoffs. I'm really disappointed.

How many more coaches can he get fired ?

The scheme has to help him. Throw short quick passes. Don’t give him 7 step drops and deep outside throws. RPO.

I'm done too. I don't wanna hear you talk, I want to see results. And I don't care how many penalties, the bad oline, I don't care. A QB makes things happen and he's a decent backup if you ask me. It's time to do something about it, otherwise, we'll be going on 30 years with nothing to show for it.
