With 14 sec and ball at the 40, that is time for 2 shots to the end zone. The 49ers called timeout and were playing sideline coverage meaning the middle of the field was open for a seam or post route to the endzone. Even Romo said now would be the time to take a shot at the endzone.

Instead, we get a designed QB run that even if executed perfectly gives us maybe 1-2 seconds left. Obviously it was not executed perfectly, but for the sake of argument let say it is. That gives you one shot from the 25. So, one play from the 25 and this time the 49ers are not guarding the sidelines because why bother, they will all be standing on the goalline instead. That maybe has like a 1-2% chance of working, I just dont get the logic at all. Man, that play is going to be Dak's playoff legacy if he never wins a ring. Kinda like the fumbled snap was Romo's playoff legacy.

Anyways, the season is officially over so I think now is a good time to take a break from football. Going to be a long 8 months until September and a new season, so take care ladies and gents.............I'm out.

Forget the last play. You still need to score. And the chances of that were slim. I thought he did great just getting down to what he did. There’s only one reason why we lost his game yesterday. Penalties penalties penalties, discipline

when dak started running i thought there would be someone behind him to take a pitch or something to try and score while most of the defense was protecting the sideline, they had already done it a couple times in the game

That’s the best explanation yet. I almost thought the same thing. You could’ve had two shots in the end zone

The Cowboys should have tried the Hail Mary like the pass below.

may have got lucky with a catch (adding a recurring memory to the rivalry) or got a pass interference call.

But you have to play for the win.

Once you commit to run like that. It should be end zone or bust…soft play by a soft team.

Agree completely. The 40 isn’t that far out snd you have Coop and Lamb. 2 shots. For people blaming the ref…he has to touch the ball and reset it. Guess they don’t account for that in practice.

1. Play wasn't the worst, was horribly executed. Drop 5 yards earlier or take a 10 yard out of bounds play like they did to start the drive
2. Why are we blaming the Zebras for stupid penalties?
3. No clue if we would had 1-2 chances to even pass a TD
4. We score a TD and Greg misses the PAT

There was no logic or excuse for the last play
Generally if you look at decisions with an open mind, you get why a person made a decision. You may not agree but you get why
In this case it’s was so dumb there simply is no logic that can be applied
