Maybe if someone can explain what the heck the blocking scheme was on this play? It looks like the hole is created right up the middle but two things go wrong. First, no one blocks the MLB. Actually 2 LBs come right through to stuff this play. It looks like Connor Williams is trying to seal his guy to the outside to open the hole but Tyron Smith comes blocking the same guy into the hole literally defeating Connor Williams' seal. If Tyron stays home and blocks #57 Zeke gets positive yards. Biadasz snaps the ball and chases the DT that Zack martin buries. Why isn't he going out to take out the MLB? How do you just leave the guy unblocked?

This is why I don't think the problem with the Cowboys running game is that the OL can't block. It is more about execution. Watch the 49ers run blocking. They get a guy on the LBs, and in some cases they double teamed LVE and knocked them out of the play. The Cowboys double team the DLmen and left the LBs unblocked. What kind of play design is that?

Rule of thumb for Biadasz, never go help Zack Martin. He doesn't need it. Go help Williams or go block a LB.

This was the very first play of the game and the offensive linemen don't get their assignments right? if this is the case then it is what is called not being prepared.

Said last night that I'm jealous of watching other OLs in the playoffs opening up holes for their RBs. Pollard still should have gotten more touches, but Zeke getting stuffed isn't all exactly his fault either.

Buddy that was one play. And if you look at the linebackers, all they are doing is covering the gaps inside. They know the chances of Zeke bouncing it outside are slim and none. Or they know they dont bother running outside with Zeke because he cant.

But yah the Oline sucks at run blocking. Thats why Pollard is better. On plays like that he has a chance to make a guy miss or bounce it outside.

Our whole run scheme is bad. It has been for quite some time. I see other backs getting free runs into the secondary all the time. Zeke and Pollard are lucky to get 1 a game. They are always having to make someone miss or run through tackles.

For me, this is the crux of the season and why I want a new OC and OL coach. When every single OL outside of Steele regresses, then that is an indictment on the coaching.
..wow.. yer right. Effen crazy ****. Stupid decisions by OL players.

This is almost comical as HS play. ......sigh... I remember my coach saying, "Dont worry about this guy, he'll run himself out of play, but get the guy in front".

Look where the C went to block, all he had to do was go heads up on the MLB right in front of him
That's our offensive Jaylon Smith.

It's all almost unfathomable until you realize that an oil salesman and his kid are running the team.

Without even as much as a THOUGHT that they may be the problem.

What kind of scheme has your TE laterally going down the line to block a LB, that is 2 gaps away.....

The Cowboys players on offensive said a week or two ago communication between themselves was an issue. I heard that on 105.3.

Pretty amazing to hear as late in the season as it came.

and then after we'll complain that Zeke is washed up, look at this lol. 7 blockers for 7 defenders and yet 2 defenders are unblocked

Why did Dak do that? Smh

Shame on Dak for leaving 2 defenders unblocked!

You know what’s funny? Some people on here have said it’s fine because our C and LG are “better than most of the league”. Even if that’s true, that doesn’t take away how horrible they’ve played. No QB or run game will be successful with blocking like that.

Part of that is on the coaching staff that run the schemes.

Also, Dak haters will be very quiet in this thread.

LVE got blocked throughly, throughout the entire game. They has our LB's bundled...it was pure bliss - too bad it was the 49ers executing the bliss

Travis Frederick was a high IQ guy. Frederick double majored in computer engineering and computer science at the University of Wisconsin. The o-line isn't the same without him. He could probably read defenses/blitzes better than most QBs.

Everyone loses?

Seems like Collins and Martin took care of their guys.

Not sure what Biadasz is doing. This screams we need a new OL coach.

Zeke is washed up. The sooner you realize that the better.

The blocking still sucked. It doesn’t have to be either/or.
