Basham should be cut and let Gregory walk if he doesn’t take home town discount

These two guys padded their stats vs below .500 teams, and when you needed them most they coat the teams with dumb penalties and zero sacks or pressure.

Front office can’t reward mediocrity.

Basham only saves you around $1.75 to release. You’re paying a rookie between 800-600k. The savings is minimal for a solid depth player.

Guys like Lewis, Greg Z, Brown and Jarwin can net you up to around $14 million in space

Basham is cheap enough to keep around as part of a rotation. Gregory can't be re-signed and DLaw can't be kept with his huge cap hit.

He is a wasted roster spot, doesn’t bring anything to the game.

Can’t pressure the QB.
Can’t get sacks.
Can’t stop the run.
Can’t stop refs from flags thrown at him.
Pure trash.

Basham reminds me of a chihuahua. Barks a lot but can't do ****.

Gregory, sure, I agree with.

As for Basham ... his stats look padded to you? lol In any case, he his salary and cap hit are low, and every team needs backup players, so I see no harm in the Cowboys considering him as one of the options to keep for depth. They just need to find another starter opposite Lawrence.

Gregory needs to be paid fairly. You don't attract free agents when you treat your own like garbage

Heck yeah, always looking for camera to make himself famous.

He is Jaylon 2.0
He's not remotely close to that. He never had Jaylon's expectations nor his high priced salary/cap hit, and he didn't cost the Cowboys a high draft pick. He's a low cost depth player, and whether he stays or goes is not among the more significant decisions the Cowboys have to make.

They should trade Dak for Russell Wilson and set him free from the Jones boys.
No trade contract for Dak. And Gregory will walk. He would have to take a huge discount to afford him. Would rather keep Gallup. Lots of cap work to get done..

I think this team would be smart to let Gregory walk. He freelances way too much especially when playing the run. He will make some big TFLs because of it but more often than not he runs himself straight out of the play. His pass rush is above average but quite frankly he is undisciplined and a penalty machine. He also is not particularly young and I imagine in a year or two could already start to decline athletically.

What's fair for a soon to be 30 year old with a career high 6 sacks and then 19 tackles to go with it? Robert Quinn should've been kept over Gregory

Basham is the Cowboy's quintessential free agent signing. It seems we never get anything from any free agents we have signed in forever. The only one I can think of is Quinn who was let go immediately lol. I guess Kearse was really good this year and kind of ironic because he was supposed to be an after-thought behind Kazee and Hooker.
