Lol, that wasn't a playoff game so if it doesn't work it's just game over not season over. You can't expect everything to go that perfectly so to me it was a colossally stupid call

Ref wasn’t 4 seconds behind the play this time. That’s the difference I see.
He picked the ball up and repositioned it twice, less than a yard, all he had to do was touch the ball. You can't convince me his actions weren't calculated.

Maybe instead we f blaming the ref we shouldn’t he f run a play where he might screw it up. People here are unreal.
How bad they played before that point is irrelevant, they had an opportunity that was taken away because of incompetence.

The ref blew it, but we blew it first. We are possibly the most unaware team in the NFL, with a coach and a QB who have zero clock awareness. And we take THAT risk? Not to mention you are trusting the ref to hustle and do his job. Stupid all the way around. But much like the refs, our coaching staff knows they are immune to discipline.

No it wasn’t! The incompetence comes with the call and expecting perfection. The ref has the touch the ball. He ran down after the play and Dak had given the ball to the center and blocked the refs way. Almost every pundit out there days Dak should have been out of the way and handed ball to ref. It was our incompetence. Tired of the lame excuses around here. Jerry has y’all conditioned to whine about anything

I don’t believe it was calculated. It’s just general incompetence. The league has no formal policy for how this scenario should be handled other than the ref “touching” the ball, which appears to be interpreted differently from one official to the next.

So if we know the refs are out to screw us, why not have Dak run towards the sidelines and don't put our season on the line by running the play as we did? That, and that entire drive was sideline pass after sideline pass. Why couldn't we just complete just one more instead of taking the chance?

In that video the RB ran a total of 19 yards with 14 seconds left. Dak ran 22 yards with 14 sec left. The jags look like they practiced that, they executed perfect. Cowboys looked more sloppy. No comment on the ref thing.

Let me say this though. The jags had 1 sec left on the spike. Did the cowboys coaches really think this was their best shot? The margin for error was so great here. They put their season on the line and gave control of events to someone outside of their team. The refs. Thinking that they could flawlessly execute in which they didn't. Instead of putting the chance in your teams hand and throwing 2-3 times to the end zone or making another sideline throw and then 1 last shot at the end zone.

Bottom line is I see two mistakes here.
Coaches made a bad decision and Dak made a bad play by not going down sooner.

And the coaches and QB who made this decision will be together again next season while our best coach is fielding offers from pretty much every team looking for a coach right now...

Ref 100% didn’t do his job and was late coming in which ruined any chance.
Excuses are like A holes they all stink and man you got a ton of them, blotched play and a major choke job. Get over it the ref did what he was supposed to do. Hopefully Hollywood Prescott spends a lot more time practicing instead of making commercials and dating the models, it's pretty obvious he doesn't spend much time on that for show field he built.

A 1 second margin of error on that play. Crazy to even consider it when you could have 2 shots at the end zone against a team who had been penalized heavily on PI calls this season

Argue all you want about whether it was a dumb play call or not, but the referee Sunday unquestionably screwed the Cowboys in that scenario.
No comparison because the Vikes and Jags were tied and the Jags were trying to get into FG range.
Dak is no James Robinson when it comes to running and Dak ran too far and too slow. It was a stupid dumb play because noodle arm knew he could not throw the ball to the end zone.

I think a bigger problem with the refs in Cowboys games is what they DON’T call penalties on. That is just a big of a problem as the calls on the Cowboys.

It is true. We would've lost anyways, but the ref tackling everybody and moving the ball robbed us of a play we should've had.

Even that play is stupid and they barely got it........If you wanna do that after 10 + free yards bounce outside to the sideline. Even if you have to lose 1-2 yards backtracking. This teams HC is clueless. Honestly I'd rather have 2 chances at a jumpball pass interfernce from the 40 than zero chances from the 25, LOL

Still defending the moron HC, OC and QB. $300 million between them all and not one of them had any common sense to tell the ref they were going to do that to make sure he was ready. U think NE woudn't? if you don't you are a complete fool
