You came away from that game and thought if Dak was able to hit open receivers the outcome would've been different? So if Dak hit the receivers we wouldn't have had 14 penalties? Or we would've been able to stop the run?:omg: You can't be serious.
Dak was terrible. He was not the ONLY one that was terrible. But he was terrible. Are you suggesting he wasn't?

Who cares about 2007 and 2014?

What do those years have to do with this roster right now?

2016 and this team were the most talented. 2007 the defense was a mirage. Romo led a 14 play TD drive before half in the playoff game against the Giants for the defense to give up the lead with 40 seconds left on the clock before halftime. 2016 defense wasn't ultra talented, but got lots of turnovers and kept teams out of the end zone. the 2014 defense actually wasn't very good. They ranked like 17th. The offense masked them because it was so good.

That's the question.

I wouldn't mind Flores one bit. I feel like he's a hard nosed guy that can change the culture. He coaches his team to wins in games they shouldn't win. I like that.

Other than that, I haven't paid much attention to what's out there because I just reserved myself to another year with McCarthy, but if things become real then I'll look more into what's available and will have a better answer for you.

I like Flores a lot. But I don’t think he can win here. It will take a guy to put Jerry in check to win here. Flores isn’t that guy. Obviously, it will require Jerry being willing to hire somebody to put him in check which also won’t happen

Jerry being upset in the past has done nothing to change the course of this franchise and why they have been for the past 25+ seasons. Jerry can realize that through all of the coaching changes, different players/rosters and change at QB that he is the one thing that this team has had in common for 25 years of frustration.

That's the problem.

It's hard to get excited for any coach when you know they will have Jerry breathing down their necks and involved in everything.

1 has more rings than any other coach available. If a new coach comes in, that coach will probably demand that he gets to choose his own QB.
And what choice is that? Will Grier, Dak and Cooper Rush....hmmm...wonder what choice they'd make lol.....

I don't know about that.

QB - Average
RB - Average
O-Line Average
TE - Average
WR - Good

DL - Above Average
LB - Good (Thank you Micah)
Corners - Above Average
Safeties - Average
Kicker - Bad

This team wasn't going anywhere, just because Jerry is paying them like elite players don't make them so.
So what don't you know about? You just listed everyone average.......if the team is average why is this the best team we've had?

This team is average and it shows, people just love to inflate their value.

Not at all. But I asked you a question....if Dak would've hit his receivers the penalties would've disappeared and the defense would've been able to stop the run?

Ok so what are you arguing? I said 2007 and 2014 were the best rosters we've had and you tell me our 2021 roster was just average.....so what's the issue lol? We agree....

Meaning this is the coaches fault. As it has been with a litany of coaches over the last 26 years.

Yes, fire the guy who can't stop the run with our DTs.

He turns 80 this year.
I'll never understand how he has eluded being notch 46 for you

This idiot will hire Sean Payton and then, after failure where the team gets knocked out rd1 twice and missing the playoffs 1x, will talk 3 years down the road how the game may have passed Sean P by.

All this said, Stephen will be 3x worse

How is this worse than last year or the year before? Or any of the SB or bust years where we went 8-8 lol?

This was the by far the most SB or bust season since #8 was taking the snaps.

Other seasons had hope but none had Jerry, Us and the NFL world as high on the teams chances as this season.

He just committed big money to a QB who crapped the bed in crunch time.
His hand picked HC and OC crapped the bed in crunch time.
Two of his hand picked star WR's crapped the bed in crunch time.
His hand picked super leader threw fresh meat to the hyenas bringing major negative attention to the team.

The entire NFL world is ripping Jerry and his team to shreds.

This was a massive failure by management, coaches and players.

Losing your season to injury like last season stinks but it falls into the 'crap happens' category.
Going 8-8 stinks but when that's pretty much what was expected it falls into the "it is what it is' category.

What season do you think was more disappointing for Jerry than this one.

Can't agree with that although I thought so big time during the Garrett years.

I think they did a pretty good job at building more depth everywhere.

The fatal flaw was trying to feature Daks arm. He needs to bus drive around a solid run game.

They either don't see it that way or Moore has been telling Jerry what he wants to hear and he falls for it.

They never had depth everywhere. They had names we recognized because of being fans of the team but that is not the same as depth. When the OLine was strong the receiving group was weak. The defense always has had massive holes in it that good teams take advantage of. The Cowboys just have the benefit of playing 6 games against the NFC East which is a great way to pad defensive stats.

Why anyone ever believes a word out of Jerry's mouth, I'll never know.

MM will get one more year - if next year doesn't bring substantial improvement, it's goodnight Irene.
