Most modern day players only play for money no fame, Irvin’s attempts to appeal to their pride won’t work because many of them don’t have pride in the game or care how they are viewed

sure Irvin and Emmitt enjoyed their paydays but they were instilled with work pride and cared about their reputation from their fans and their peers

todays athlete can underperform their contracts and sleep like a baby. There’s no shame in “gettin over” or just slacking and “takin mines”…….the coaches know their dealing with men who have the mentality of 16 year olds so they have to put up with them……the sooner the fans know how much some players care, the less disappointed they will be.

The good teams know how to weed them out is all I have to say.You are right and they do act like 16 year olds. You hit the nail on the head with that one.Weed them out and let them go work for Walmart or fip burgers. They'll find out then.
