Do you think that Jerry is bothered by this weekend?

It's very irksome for me to watch the other teams still in the playoffs, with still having a chance to win the Super Bowl and their fans still having something to be excited for. All while the Cowboys end yet another season in frustrating, disappointing failure. After 25+ seasons of frustrating and disappointing failures. And now there is a long 9 months until the next season, that will seem like it's going to drag by slowly and take forever to get through.

Wonder what Jerry is thinking about as he has to watch other teams in the playoffs yet again, while his is sitting at home on the couch. Wondered if he is bothered by days like today. This weekend just might be part of the driving force in the reason why McCarthy is gone. If he see coaches with less head coaching experience advance further and as someone mentioned before Rodgers getting another Super Bowl ring without McCarthy might also be a factor in whether or not Jerry gives McCarthy another season.

No.

I think he lets Stephen run the show and Jerry just tries to speak in a way that relates to the fan base but pay attention to the moves the guy actually makes and not what he says.

Never forget.. This is the same organization that kept Garrett for a decade.

Of all the screw ups Jerry Jones has had over the years. Firing Jimmy, Joey Galloway, signing Zeke to 15 mill a year before his contract was up, nothing will ever top keeping Garrett for a decade.

Look at what he pays the HC for the Cowboys also...it tells you exactly what he values that position, and it aint much.

I doubt he's bothered that much. If he was, he might realize that the only thing that hasn't been addressed in trying to get to a championship is him.

Not bothered enough to make the long needed changes. He likely sees that with the right coach as in Quinn, things can go from ugly to pretty dam good very fast.

He’s just bothered enough to pretend someone else is the problem!

Contrary to what fans spin on this board no one takes it harder than Jerry with the amount of work he puts into trying to put together a great team. Obviously the formula he has for building a great team hasn’t worked. He needs to go back and operate the team like he did when he first purchased the Cowboys in 89 but he refuses to do that. Hire a great coach and allow them full control of the personnel. Allow them to be the unofficial GM like Jimmy. Jerry’s stubbornness and ego won’t allow him to do that.

quick answer, YES!! But he is making calls, kicking tires, he is looking under every stone, and gathering intel. He's viewing this time as an opportunity to evaluate and get better.
