How Many QB's Passed Dak In Your QB Ranking This Year

Sort of slightly off topic. But did anyone see Dak throw a back shoulder pass this season? This particular throw is utilized by Rodgers, Burrow, Allen, Mahomes, Allen, Murray, and of course Brady to beat tight man coverage. This pass must be thrown before the WR stops. It's a timing pass that requires great timing and accuracy. I personally don't think Dak can throw it effectively. Dak needs to ditch the girlfriend and hire a QB guru to teach and study film to correct Daks weaknesses.
Im not saying this to be a wise guy, just being serious. Im not sure a QB can reinvent his mechanics after 6 years.
Maybe he can refine a bit, improve some, if he is still in the league after his stint is over.
Just not sure we ever see a big jump in his performance again.

It’s irrelevant to me how he ranks among average QBs.

He sucks. He’s not even dynamic to watch. He can’t dissect a defense, he moves like a robot, he’s lead footed, when he tries to break pocket his acceleration is like a car stuck in the mud. He drags a good team down. He can’t carry an average roster to even make it exciting. You’ll see multiple games where he is the absolute worst player on the field.

A franchise QB keeps his team relevant to make it to the playoffs even when his roster is mediocre.

I had Dak in the top-10 to start the season and still have him in the top-10 to end the season.

QBs I take over Dak:
Mahomes
Burrows
Allen
Herbert
Rodgers

Brady is better than Dak of course, but he’s at the end of it.

Maybe Stafford. He’s been a favorite of mine for a long time but he can be a Romo sometimes, and not in the good way.

Before this year, no question Wilson is a better QB. Not this year. He looks like he’s regressed.

That’s about it.

Not a dumb question at all. The only thing dumb that I’m doing is debating with someone as to who is better between Dak and Herbert.
OMG, why are we even discussing or arguing over a meaningless ranking....to make you feel better? about what? so what that Dak ranks lower, higher or whatever. he is here. he ain't going anywhere for the next two years and any wishing or clicking your heals three times doesn't get you back to Kansas....

geez, what's people's obsession with rankings and what not. totally irrelevant and partly subjective. partly objective.

I don't do the eye test. I look at results. results and stats say otherwise...doed Herbert Have more potential and stronger arm? yes. but it hasn't translated...stop falling in love with tight spirals.... Andre Ware had the best and tighest spiral ever..

now, if you want to consider potential...then you can have an argument.....
First of all, the stats (if that's what you want to go with) say Herbert is already Dak's equal and he's been in the league only 2 years.
Second of all, what 'results' are you referring to where Dak is concerned? His terrible playoff record?

Stafford doesn’t need a WR in wide open pastures to have confidence in his arm to throw the ball.

Nobody would ever make that type of trade for Dak like the Rams did. Stafford is better.

Are we seriously going to entertain an argument that would even compare Dak to Herbert? Some things are just beneath doing as a respect to the player.

I was undecided on Stafford as I hadn't really watched him until this year. I still have my concerns, but he's clearly in a class above Dak.

I am a big Dak supporter, but I knew and know he is not an elite QB, I always had him ranked 11-15. The contract amount, well that's Jerry. Just like Jerry offering Romo another contract knowing he had a bad back.

Nah,

This season put all of that to bed. I'm on another level when it comes to player evaluation than you and some of your buds.

My advice: Use this off season to education yourself on teams and players, but most importantly learn to put your biases as aside. Come back next season stronger and better.

:lmao2::lmao::lmao2::facepalm:

I think you proved you are not even close to the same level. You are way below.
Take your own advice, educate yourself.

This is where I have him ranked — around 12. He’s always going to be average against stronger competition because 1) his accuracy 2) mechanics 3) can’t really play in a pro-set 4) problem reading zone defenses 5) rarely, if ever — and this is due to 1) — throws a receiver open, e.g., timing, back shoulder, etc. It is what it is.

like I said, in another response, not sure the fans obsession on this board with QB rankings.....what difference does it make? we have Dak for at least another two years....

p.s. how many years it takes to get to some place, doesn't matter and its irrelevant...at this point, 2, years, 6 years, whatever...where are they now? and they are about the same.....should I say Herbert is a top 10 pick, so expectations are much higher? vs. a late 4th round pick? irrelevant...

where do we go from here? I don't have QB envy like some people....we have to figure out what's best for this franchise....

back to reality

Before the season, I thought he had a chance to move into top 5 territory. Going into next season, I think he has trouble cracking top 10.

Allen, Burrow, Herbert surpassed him.

Dak is more on par with Carr, Cousins, Tannehill. That's OK too. After all, Dak was a 4th rounder, and almost all of the top rated guys were 1st rd picks. We just need our coaches to realize this and gameplan accordingly. Defenses we faced this year realized it, and that's how they figured us out
Do you think that decision lies with the coaches? They didn't pay him 160M to hand the ball off, he's supposed to be a star, part of the triplets. Just like 20M and 15M.

You speak like a desperate, defeated person.

It's fits you well.

Ha...no way, not defeated, not desperate.
I have always been a very upbeat confident person.

I think you are seeing yourself in the mirror.
:lmao2:

now go away, you are not worth my time with this.

It's the TV announcers that really hype-up players (Not the players fault) and folks like Jerry, just fall for it.
