and the vast majority of scouts had a 1st rd grade on Ryan Leif.
True and it was obvious that he couldn’t take coaching. Brady wasn’t even considered to make it in the NFL. It is up to coaches to put players in position to succeed but it is up to the player to seize the opportunity.

Lol oh please. Andy Reid has been one of the leagues best coaches for decades.

Bienemy is just a guy standing next to the genius.
What's funny about this is that you're making the exact arguments people made against Andy Reid deserving his first head coaching job.

Reid had ZERO to do with the Green Bay Packers' success when the Eagles hired him as head coach. He never once ran their offense. He just showed up and loitered around in the vicinity of a respected head coach (Holmgren) and a star QB (Favre).

How about we simply let Mike McCarthy pick his staff instead of saddling him with people. When has this model ever worked? Can someone tell me? Why are we holding on to people from a failed coaching staff and inflicted on a new coach? It didn't work when they did this to Wade Phillips. They sort of did this to Parcells who had to work with Zimmer while trying to implement a different defensive scheme that Zimmer never worked with. Why the hell would you do this?
Excellent point!!

I dont disagree with you, but my point, which has never changed, is that all NFL coaches know their stuff. Their is no coach that has the magic formula. Some get lucky enough to have a Mahomes, or Rodgers, or Brees... and that doesnt guarantee anything, it just makes it much more likely. Everyone likes to come back to me with... if thats the case, why doesnt Rodgers have more than 1 ring? Because the vast majority of the time Rodgers wasnt winning a ring..... the other HOF QBs were.

if you think that an NFL coach that has been on numerous staffs and eats, drinks, breaths football doesnt know what he is doing, you are the moron.

Jimmy g isn't a hof QB and knocked Rodgers out the last 2 years. Kap isn't a hof QB and knocked him out of the playoffs. He doesn't only lose to other hof QBs.
Some do have the secret formula. Their playbooks. Their ways of teaching. You make it seem as if all coaches are the same and you ONLY need a hof QB to compete for a sb.

This is how I know you aren't a Cowboy fan....Jerry doesn't "rebuild" anything lol. You telling on yourself again lol.

Hence we got Dak as a bandaid. And after his contract is up, we are going to spend another 4th round in trying to develop a QB with backup projection to takeover the ship. The Jones love buying their QBs from the clearance rack.

Maybe in a broad scale but when your micro managing a game and calling the right plays at the right time there is levels to it.

Shannahan is winning wherever he goes.

His dad figured out a way to make any offensive line and run game better than it actually is decades ago and I don’t understand why everyone isn’t copying him. Especially in a league with such awful offensive line play.

Well they tried to get Johnny Manziel and Paxton Lynch...thankfully they found a better deal on the "clearance rack".

Im assuming you watched the Chief's game last night?
In the first half alone, did you see the number of times the play broke down, Mahomes step up, over and around the pass rush and then ran for a first down? He ran for a first down I believe 3 times in the first half alone. Then he ran for a long TD... none of that was from any play call. Then how bout the times the play broke down and Mahomes scrambled around to find a receiver down field, again.,.. that aint from no play call. This is the Chief's 4th straight afc title game, and Ill be shocked if they arent in the SB. Anyone being honest with themselves knows why they have had this success, and it isnt any coach, play call or scheme being put out there.

3 out of the final 4 teams left have a top 8 QB, and 1 team has THE best qb and one team has what Id say is now top 5. Funny, in that I have been saying forever that 80% of the time a team wins a SB the team has a HOF level QB. If Stafford wins a SB, hell likely get in. Mahomes is a no brainer, and at his pace, Joe B is on his way... 75% of the remaining QBs.

It is what you make it like, because it's what you said.
Rodgers doesn't get knocked out by hof QBs.
