Are you aware that there were 3 dropped passes on that 2nd to last drive?

So you must be calling the receivers not clutch right? Lamb, Zeke, Wilson in that order. PUNT!!
1st and 10 from the 16 - Dak's pass tipped at the LOS
2nd and 10 from the 16 - Nice throw by Dak to Schultz for 40 yards to the SF 46
1st and 10 from the SF 46 - Dak sacked - held ball too log
2nd and 11 from the SF 47 - Lamb drops pass that would have gone for 4 or 5 yards
3rd down and 11 from the SF 47 - Dak flushed from pocket overthrew Zeke out of the backfield. Holding call negated anything on that play.
4th down and 11 from the SF 47 - Dak under heavy pressure launched pass toward Wilson downfield who could not adjust to the ball.

Yea, one drop and no Bosa or Warner on the field. The Cowboys choked and Dak is the main guy in that posse.

More fourth-quarter comesback than any other quarterbacks since he’s been in the league

Yeah it seems the criteria for the chart is not reflective of his entire body of work. I'm not going to die on the Dak hill, but this board is way over the top recently.

It's obvious something changed after Denver. I have a difficult time believing the Broncos reinvented the wheel after Dak played 5 seasons. We just didn't, or couldn't adjust. Dak stopped playing aggressive. I cant imagine being a coach and not telling him to take your shots, but it's clear they were more concerned with protecting the ball than airing it out. Look at when we played hurry up or when he had a free play (off sides.) He crushed it in those moments. For whatever reason he hesitated otherwise. It was a lack of confidence or too much of an emphasis on avoiding turnovers. Or maybe both.

If we get the same offense heading into next season we will struggle to win 6 games.

So some people will point out that Dak being clutch is one of his better traits. Well this might help dispel that notion.

13 games when the Cowboys had the ball with 2 minutes or less losing by 1 to 7 points.

1-12 in those games. Watching yesterdays games you need an offense and QB who can win games in the clutch with little to no time left in the playoffs. Dak isnt that QB.

...wasting our Cowboys future on this Dak schlub.

Adam attacking his stupid stats....you know it is wrong.

I can tell by looking at them they are ridiculous. Yes, he got the ball back with 2 seconds, 1 second, and 17 and couldn't win the game! He sucks!

Where is the Green bay playoff game? He tied it with under 2 min left?????

If Adam is gonna call him out he won't win this argument. Adam knows more about stats and analytics than 99.9% of this board. /thread

Didn't we come back and win vs the Pats this year, in OT? That's just recent memory. The other big game that sticks out was him running over Seattle in the playoffs to win the game.

Hes had several moments like that, but I'm guessing they didn't make the cut for the 2 minute criteria, or the game was tied?
Dallas went up by 10 on Seatlle with 5 minutes to go and never lost the lead.
Yes, he did have a rushing TD in at game.

Also...With Dallas up by 3, Dak did throw a RedZone interception in the 4th to make it interesting for awhile

He had a passing TD and int and an 84 Passer rating in that win.

I think the overtime TD vs NE should count. It was tied, but that was a game-winning drive for sure.
He had a lot of passing yards that game, 3 Tds and 2 turnovers.

That was before he wrote the article on how Dak not doing a 5 or 7 step drop has forced the entire league not to use them either.

Really riveting stuff!
Cool. Please link the article, I'd love to read it and see how it's relevant to this one.

It is sad that we are now stuck with Dak for a long tenure.. his lack of clutch seems a 'new' revelation to some. Me, along with several others, talked about this in 2016. When Dak was being called 'clutch' and 'money'... on the back of the leagues most dominate rushing attack. Dak was making everything because every team was loading up against the run.. every defence was exhausted after being on the field for 70%.. we were winning TOP stats by unheard of margins..

Dak strolls out against single high safety coverages, an exhausted d line.. stands behind the leagues best O-Line and gets credit for making yards?!!! That isn't to mention that he had Romo in his ear, calling out the defence, putting in the plays.. the safety blanket of Witten for an auto check down...

EVEN then.. the stats continually pointed to the fact that Dak wasn't that good. He has NEVER been clutch. Now that DOES NOT mean he has never played well, never had a great game or never 'won a game at clutch time'.. I acknowledge that he is an above average QB and he has won us plenty of games.. and some of those wins were as a direct result of his play.. BUT that still doesn't mean he is Clutch as a concept and nor does it mean he is good enough to lead this team to glory.

Dak is a very very very very limited QB and as our OLine falls apart, Zeke slows down and we lose our receivers to cap pressure.. we are (sadly) going to see just what an overpriced hack he is. It is going to get really ugly. Really really ugly.

Are you talking about the TEN TOE SLOTH, formally known as Dak?

The only asset i would have given Dak is his leadership....but you have to deliver most of the time in the clutch to really have any relevancy. I feel even the players just don't value that from him anymore, for example when CeeDee and Amari both went to the Mavs game prior to their wild card game after Dak asked for players to keep low profile and careful due to contracting the virus. i think even his leadership within the team now is more into question. I mean, you have to perform yourself if you want others to do so. That stat says it all.

Wilson stumbled and the pass bounced right off his hands. Dak gave him a great chance to make a play and he blew it. Zeke is simply too slow and lacks receiving skills, but the pass bounced right off his hand. Dak lead him perfectly.
That was a terrible pass. Dak was running to his right and barely threw it 40 yards. Most QBs make that play and easier for WR to catch.

We saw bigtime clutch from all 4 QB's playing yesterday.

Clutch supreme is when the QB and receiver go off-script and make something happen with 8 seconds left and the season on the line, like Mahomes and Kelce did last night.

We don't see much clutch from the Cowboys.

LOL.

Did you say this about Romo in 2014? It was the same exact thing. Also, did you say it about Aikman? He built his whole career off of this and a #1 defense.

"Never been clutch"- Prove it.

Yes, clutch when no one covers the obvious player who is getting the ball.

Yes Clutch when you throw it to a cheat code and he score on the play that literally no one else in the league would score on.

JUST CLUTCH I TELL YA!
