I wonder if Jerry knows Twitter exists, this kind of crap is all over the place right now...

Apparently you missed getting robbed from a super bowl with one of the worst calls in nfl history, you also missed the idea that he had the Saints this season with a winning record and Jameis Winston with 12 tds to only 3 int's. Payton is one of two current coaches with 150 or more wins, he's a top 3-5 coach in the league, says everyone. Comparing Fat Mike to him is like saying Dak is as good as Brady they both threw for over 4,000 yards..
But I read here that we can’t blame the refs for those types of things.

I bet Peyton thinks he can elevate Dak to another level, think Dak has more than we have seen.

Do it Jerry!!!!!

Pressure is on McCarthy now. If he does nothing again next year, Jerry has his replacement ready to go.

Seeing mixed reports on this, I guess he can retire than 3 months from now say he's changing his mind and boys can hire him without compensation

Nope. Cowboys would still have to pay to get the rights to him.

This will be Jerry's all-in move. McCarthy is a lame duck coach and I think everyone in that organization, including himself knows it. I bet he will be phoning it in and just counting down the days for Jerry to fire him so expect lots of massage time. Prepare for a Top-10 draft pick in 2023

Their first and last Super Bowl win was 2009. It's 2022 and Payton hasn't done squat when he had Brees in his prime up until the last couple seasons. Blaming all of this on a controversial call, that doesn't even automatically give them a trophy anyways, is such a terrible excuse. You're terrible at this.

McCarthy only has had 4 losing seasons since 2006. Guess how many Payton has had as well? I guess you folks forgot when the Saints stunk for 3 straight seasons and Payton was on the hot seat.

Why just waste another year to hold out hopes of Payton wanting to coach again? Because bringing back Fat Mike is wasting another year which will end in the same result . Do what it takes now, even if it means giving the saints compensation

If he sits out a year and MM does MM things, Dallas would be the obvious choice next season.

1 more season of Dak before out year on contract so he can see what he has to work with or start over.

Zeke out year on deal

Tank out year if not restructured/released this year

Cap flexibility possible

I mean depending on what concessions Payton agrees to. I just had convo with CowboyFrog on this stuff. I mean for starters, "NOT" with Moore.

Payton's offense just like he's always called offense.
That's the first step in the right direction. Those crazy little words like discipline and accountability should be written in all CAPS giving Payton the carte blanche authority to enforce these words at all times and whenever he sees fit

Man, I would hope Payton would tell Jerry "Yes Mr. Jones I'll be your coach but ONLY under the following circumstances..."

That's my fantasy scenario...

Anybody else?lol

Payton and McCarthy's careers look about as similar as you can get.

Same amount of years with 1 Super Bowl win a long time ago with an elite QB. What makes Payton so much better than McCarthy? It's not his accomplishments.
