You could say so, yes. No worn out overpaid guys, just talents and proven "down in the trenches" players. I mean take Steele for example. He had some good games but they didn't let him finish because of an underachieving starter.

Now bring up all that depth I say and get rid of the shiny forefront, which is kinda rotten beneath the paint. And tell Dak "we're starting over, you won't have the weapons of last year, so you gotta be the weapon this year. And YOU tell me what you need for that apart from capable receivers. How do we repair your head?".
It's not Dak's job to repair his own head. Not to mention how difficult that is. Most people can't.
It's coach and staff that need to fix it one way or another.

False information.

Screenshot-20220126-081220-Google.jpg

CeeDee Lamb had 8 dropped passes by the second Giants game on December 19, 2021 as the picture above shows (Google). There were still 3 regular season games left, plus the Wild Card playoff game against the 49ers where CeeDee dropped 2 more passes.

Those credited 8 drops are wrong. CeeDee dropped way more passes than that.

My information comes right from the Pro Football Reference page.

https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/L/LambCe00.htm

PS - If you go to Game Logs and Advanced Stats for Playoffs, it has him with another drop against SFO, so that's 9 for the year. Again, hardly an outlier in terms of drops relative to his peers.

Rams have done quite well being over the cap and not having draft picks the last 3 years lol its a mirage if team needs to find money they create it..thats been the truth for while the entire premise of not having money is not been the truth, they will IF needed, create space for a relevant player or two.

Rams are not over the cap. I expect Dallas to free up space but in doing so you will lose FA, hell we are 21 mill over the cap. Better off than NO and GB who are will be 45 and 71 mill over the cap, they too will lose some key players.

I doubt there is something wrong with his head in this sense. I was just using it figuratively. I'm not argueing that coaches need to figure out how to help him. But it's his job to get his game going again. Passing deep vs. good DBs... scramble again, hitting guys were they will be and not where they were... getting the ball out faster, read the play sooner... all that.

I really like our schedule next year because we will play quite a few good teams more. So we will see alot earlier if they are for real or not. :)

Explain the picture with date on Google? Clearly shows CeeDee had 8 drops by December 19, 2021 with 3 regular season games...and 1 playoff game...still left to be played? Plus, we all saw CeeDee targeted only 5 times but catching only 1 pass with 2 big drops during their 49ers playoff game, so explain why those 2 drops were not added?

Going into the season with Ceedee as your #1 receiver is not ideal.
Ceedee is nice to have, but Coop is a NO. 1 WR. Them giving up a 1st to get him, then paying him and then not targeting him is about the stupidest thing a team can do. Coop may not be a Jamar Chase or Devonte Adams. But is there ability head and shoulders above his or does he just not get targeted like they do?

I get you. I also meant just fix the overall ....shambles....we appeared to be in.

Again.....very hard to fix yourself. I think he needs some outside influence....a perspective not shown from our staff. Some mechanics and confidence.

Only the Cowboys trade draft picks for WRs. We would need to open a door to the multiverse and Jerry could trade Cooper to alternate world Jerry. Otherwise we are stuck with him.

When you go to the game logs for Lamb in Pro Football Reference, you see that after his 3 drops in the Giatns game, he had 8 drops for the years. So the reporter likely got his data from Pro Football Reference, which is usually where most reporters get their data as it's one of the most thorough statistical sites. Lamb had no drops the last three games.

Pro Football Reference breaks stats down by regular season (8 drops) and post season (he had 1, not 2 against the 49ers). So for the year he had 9 drops, yet again, hardly an outlier when pegged against other WRs.

This is one rumor but have seen others linking KC and NY Jets

The Jaguars’ priority this offseason should be to get their signal-caller, Trevor Lawrence, plenty of weapons. That is the best way to ensure a young quarterback’s success in the NFL. See Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals as the prime example. Luckily for Baalke, the Dallas Cowboys could move on from Pro Bowl wide receiver Amari Cooper.

Anything is possible when talking about the Cowboys, so if Jerry Jones will be taking offers for Cooper, the Jaguars are in the perfect position to offer draft capital for the wideout’s services. Besides, let’s not put it past Jones to trade Cooper to a team that had the worst record in 2021. More importantly, by moving Cooper, the Boys would free up nearly $16 million in cap space with a dead-money hit of $6 million if he’s dealt around draft time.

If you’re Baalke, you surround Lawrence with playmakers, and good things will happen. It’s not rocket science. Cooper’s contract is an expensive one, yes, but proven commodities in the NFL don’t come cheap. In this scenario, the Jags acquire Cooper in exchange for their two 2022 third-round selections. Keep in mind Jacksonville got an additional third-round pick, along with tight end Dan Arnold, when they traded cornerback C.J. Henderson to the Panthers.

Jaguars have enough draft capital to pull off trade for Amari Cooper? (blackandteal.com)

Personally I am trading or moving on from just about every high priced player. Cooper, Lawrence, Smith, Zeke,(do something). Start working on filling those positions in either FA or the draft.

CeeDee Lamb:
1,102 yards receiving
79 catches
13.9 per catch average
6 TDs
Long of 49 yards

Yes. CeeDee had the highest numbers in each category, except for TDs, in 2021. Those are legit #1 WR numbers. He easily could have had another 200+ yards had he not had so many drops.

And he basically missed two games.

Even if you traded all of them you still no money and mid to late round picks are not going to find you year 1 starters. Doing that is the equivalent of throwing in the towel for the year and waiting until 2023 to try and be competitive.
