Odd that Florio’s PFT report on this didn’t mention the Cowboys one way or the other. Has anyone listened to the interview and exact quotes?

The word is there are two teams Payton may be interested in. Saying the Cowboys are not one of them does not address the possibility of Cowboys being the other one.

The Giants would make a ton of sense and they have the draft capital to make a deal. Payton should maximize Jones’ ability and allow them to determine if he can be salvaged. Only issue is that Payton was OC, lost his play-calling duties and was essentially fired. How would the NY media and fans react? But that was 2 decades ago and he’s had quite a but of success since. And being a Parcells protege wouldn’t hurt.

I did and he didn’t say the cowboys weren’t one. He said no that’s where it’s going to stop meaning he’s not answering that question. Watch at the 1:35 mark

I think we are right. Makes sense really.The Mara family would be hands off and allow him to basically have a blank check to some degree, to run the show. I think its a great match. Only other place I see a great fit would be here in Dallas.

I must say, Sean has aged badly last 2 years. I didnt realize. he kinda looks burnt out and tired.
