Next season is just another wasted stuck in purgatory season?

MM will be back so it will be the same crap. Penalties, poor clock management, and wasting a lot of talent. Everyone seems to be more excited about Sean Payton in 2023 and is conceding that next season will be more of the same crap. Can we just fast forward 1 year so the majority of us can finally be optimistic about this team?

I'll answer your question with a question. Is Jerry still the GM/owner?

Yes. However, the culture was different under Bill Parcells. They were disciplined and prepared. Not sloppy and self destructive which happens under puppets like Wade, JG, and MM. Sean Payton is a Parcells guy. Jerry knows that he will only come here under his terms not Jerry's terms. They had a deal worked out in 2019 so Jerry must have agreed to Payton's terms.

OH Absolutely!!!!!!! Jerry will keep the same coaches, bring back all the same players, and hyped the team up once again that they are superbowl bound.....is 25 years long enough?

How about you give up your Cowboy fanship and go cheer for the team that wins the Super Bowl this year.

He wasted 10 years with Garrett, what's 1 more with MM? This team didn't ened the year how we wanted but it was a huge step in the right direction. In a sport where it's "what have you done for me lately", the Cowboys play off loss is the freshest memory we have. The entirety of the season tells me this was a good team in a coaches 2nd year. Let's see what next season brings. I'm excited.

If you have to have a SB, then yes, I assume it is.

I hardly call a 12 win season and a sweep of the East by over 20 PPG a season in purgatory.

Ya know you can still like the movie even if you don't like the ending.

Lots of folks assuming Payton's dream is to come back and work for Jerry after a year off.

I think we should just move forward with fixing the OL and resign a few of our own FAs and cut the cord on a couple of players.

would love to see us draft OL the first two picks. then defense perhaps...not saying reach. I always like the BPA approach, but we sure need to fix the middle of the line.

dump cooper, perhaps we can resign Gallup+ Wilson with just a little more money than that.

Dump Lawrence.

this offense works, when the OL plays at a high level and they didn't do that this year....Martin was good. Smith was good when he played. Collins was up and down. steele was good. but Williams and Biadasz...ugh....and that's 2/5 of the line. and 2/.3 of the middle of the line....

it will cost us a lot of draft picks to get payton. so we have to be willing to part with them and we better make dang sure he is the one.

My bad, 9-8 since we play in arguably the worst division in football.
Everyone is going to keep making that mistake for a while and there will always be someone (it was my turn) pointing it out, like you and everyone else did not already know it and the person who pointed it out did not know what you really meant :D

In this case though I was curious if you would go with a winning or losing record .. :)
