Well this is curious.

Hope they ask Kellen again.

“The next Jacksonville Jaguars head coach will apparently not be former Jaguars quarterback Byron Leftwich. According to a report from Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times, Leftwich is expected to remove himself from consideration for the job, leaving former Philadelphia Eagles coach Doug Pederson and Las Vegas Raidersinterim coach Rich Bisaccia as top candidates. ”

WOW! that went from he had the job, to the current Denver coach headed to FL to interview when we thought the job was already on lockdown. Nothing making sense here.

If Primetime was our coach, we would get the best coordinators and assistant coaches

This morning on sports talk radio here in Tampa there were some rumblings that Bruce Arians may retire rather than go through a possible rebuild. They have no cap room and 23 unrestricted free agents.

Wonder if he maybe knows something on that front and may want the TB head coaching gig if that does happen. If they go internal he would more than likely be the guy.

Or they refused to fire Baalke

Could be I don't know what demands Byron was making. Maybe he wanted more personnel control? I don't blame him for backing out of a situation he didn't like. The jags will set whomever up for failure.

Pretty much reported he wanted Baalke out and Adrian Wilson as his GM.

Don’t blame him for bailing on them

Oh I didn't see that. Haven't really been keeping up i had just seen where they started compensation negotiations.

He over estimated his value, plain and simple. No way in hell he had enough skin on the walls to ask his own GM.....in fact, just a tweet where he admitted as much. What's interesting is he may have cost himself a shot at any future interviews for a while.
