I can stomach trading Cooper...but will be pissed if we cut him

Way too good to release

Lawrence...meh
Nothing like straight up releasing two of the highest paid players on the team. And another one, in Zeke, would be released if it saved any money.

Terrible contracts that prohibit us being able to sign any big time free agents. Great work by Jerry and Stephen

Who's going to replace Cooper? CeeDee ain't ready.

CeeDee heading into his 3rd year will have to be ready. I hope we are able to keep Cooper but at some point Lamb will be called on to step up and take that lead role.

With what and whom? Watch as we are going to burn another #1 draft pick to bring in a receiver when the 40 million a year bus driver can't seem to get the offense moving.
Might choose to replace Tank in round 1. WR maybe in round 2 or 3.

This comment is about if they were to retain Gallop only: What would you get out of him in 2022? He tore up his knee late in 2021. Prior to tearing up his knee (a non contact injury which always makes me leary) he had already had an injury history. My point? If you get rid of Cooper and resign Gallop it needs to be a team friendly deal with very low expectstions.

I agree, I would also suggest it be a 2 to 3 year deal max.

Letting Cooper go paves the way for Booger to get his very own Deebo, only bigger and stronger. He really wants Treyvon Burks as he watched the second best AR WR in their history all season long carry that team on offense. His problem is he'll have to go up for him. But Booger will pull out all the stops to help his QB.

He would be a better 1st round pick than Lamb was.

then he better shore up the G and C spot if he wants to help his QB.

There is nothing wrong with his contract - released this year only counts $6 million or can be restructured to around $11 million. If Cooper agrees, it's a very easy contact to move once restructured. I'm still looking for a trade with the Jags - Cooper gets to go home and help Lawrence develop.
how is Jacksonville going home, he went to high school in North Miami.

So far I'm not seeing any reasons next years Cowboys team is better than this years. Same coaches and most likely worse talent due to cap issues.

I am not sure he thinks that way. If they kept Cooper, most likely they move in that direction but Booger needs that WR guy and I don't think he thinks he got that with Lamb.

I don't know if you are serious about this but Jacksonville is like 500 miles from Miami, which is Cooper's "home." And culturally it's about 100,000 light years apart.

Cooper has to go. The problem with losing DLaw, even though he is overpaid, is the drop off in talent the cowboys will have on the DL, even if they keep Gregory, which looks like the way they are going. Jerry will sell one bad investment for a loss and parlay that into another bad investment. I can't get over how inept the Jones Boys are with roster management.
