Will being Bullied help the Cowboys going forward?

You would hope that the Cowboys being Bullied by the likes of 49ers and pretty much every other team they lost to last season would help change the mentality of the team.
Except for the loss to the Bucs, each loss was due to them getting manhandled on both sides of the ball.
Maybe playing in a weak division helps contribute to this team not being able to handle better teams.
One constant in the losses is the team was outplayed and out-muscled.
Even though they made most of the losses close, they were never really a threat to win and they were only close due to the team picking up garbage yards and points after getting so far behind.

I think its pretty clear we will invest in the offensive line. I also believe they are aware we need help on run defense. How it shakes out is another question all together. I'm glad we have Quinn to influence our defensive selections though.

With the exception of 3-4 game periods mid season here and there, this team has had no edge or dawg to it for 25 years.

They are stars the minute they walk in the door and have to earn nothing. Any failure is rewarded by roses by the real boss because he needs to sell his product and validate his own bad decisions.

There's your Jerry culture for you that he either doesn't recognize or refuses to change.

That's why the great owner but bad GM thing is a ridiculous take. He is an awful owner also.

Hey guys, we found another silver lining

that makes 8,736 great benefits for losses since our last super bowl win.

Don't think so, they were called out as weaker than SF in the tough department going into that game which was the reason those that picked against them used.

I picked the Cowboys thinking they would rise to the occasion being called out as soft compared to the bullies but I was wrong. They had no counter punch.

I don't know what plan they had in mind when they got hit in the mouth but it didn't work. You could see it on the Niners sideline, they knew they had the Cowboys exactly where they wanted them.

I don't see these players that were not tough getting tougher, they need to import tough.

They were bullied by the Rams in ‘18. Did they learn from that? Nope

They were bullied by the Broncos just this year. Did they learn from that? Nope.

The Cowboys are just a mentally weak franchise. Like Awuzie referred to at his super bowl media day, Dallas has all the best facilities but they’re entitled.

We saw examples of accountability last season. It looked at one point like things were moving in the right direction.

Hard to feel that way now, after he yammered about coaching and retained all the worst offenders.

Getting a couple pipe hitters in the trenches on both sides of the ball is what we need to start being that bully

Larry Allen/Charles Haley types are the kinds of players that infect the rest of their linemen to know that getting pushed around isn’t acceptable.

That some of them were crying about the refs in the media is not a good sign. The Cowboys never run out of excuses, unfortunately.

I'm still shocked they cut Jaylon Smith.

It offers a bit of hope moving ahead.

On the whole, I really don't see how this staff and team gets through an entire postseason without getting tripped up at some point.

It's grueling, and some tough wins need to be eeked out by everyone.

Is this team that tough? Even close?

We have no edge, no dawg. No real desire.

It's fairly obvious that our players aren't as boldly inclined to win as the better teams in the NFL.

That's why they'll win big vs. the losers and lose so poorly vs. the better teams in their playoffs.

The Cowboys have also been a team with players who are content by playing for a glitzy outfit.

If that's not enough, they fully realize that they'll be paid generously, whether winning or losing.

The Chiefs rebuilt there entire Oline in a season picking at #31 in each round. If they can do it we can do it and that’s what I think needs to be done. It’s time to trim the fat.

Also they didn't hand LC his starting spot back. At least not right away.

The problem of entitlement is more than even JJ. It's about history and what that uniform stands for. It gives players an instant platform for notoriety. It's a slingshot to fame. The media won't ever let it go because Dallas sales.

Not only do we need a GM who doesn't buy into it, but we need someone who will actively fight against it.

There are some Dawgs on this team, but we need a dawg at head coach as well.

I think it was enough that Cowboys are now talking of upgrading OL.

Dallas can only beat tough competition when the ball bounces their way.

In other words, they will need a lot of luck to win any play off game!

im in that category that doesn’t excuse the players failures and the blatant obvious penalties, but I’m still saying “what the hell”? By some of the ridiculous calls against us.

We were bullied by the newly expansion team, Carolina Panthers (2nd year in existence) in the 1996 playoffs, & nothing has changed every since that playoff game (even in the 1998 playoffs, the lowly Cardinals came to Texas Stadium and 'bulled' the Boys).

it won't help the team, but perhaps GM (ugh) and coaches realize we need to get rougher on the DL and OL and draft not finesse players like Biadasz or Williams, but more tough like Fredrick and Martin. I hope we trade up in first round and grab one of the top centers. like linderbaum. we have a few comp picks we can use to manuever the draft. with this roster, its not about more bodies and bottom of the roster. its about some key positions to fill to fix the issues on OL and DL
