What I find odd is what difference is there between Sean Payton and McCarthy? They both had HOF QBs and they both only have 1 Superbowl appearance and 1 win.

No one knows that. No even Jerry or Sean. I don’t like McCarthy. I didn’t like him when he was hired and I don’t like him now. I doubt he coaches his way past 2023.

Even if he is fired it isn’t certain Sean will replace him. Because there is so much certainty on the matter, I would almost bet it won’t be him.

Edit: Glad Eisen asked him and that McCarthy answered the way he did. The comparison to how Green Bay and other franchises are run to how Dallas needed to be said out loud.

It's going to be just like Garrett. Remember Jerry saying Garrett would be a Super Bowl winning head coach for a team someday after letting him go finally? Garrett can't even keep a job as a coordinator at this point, let alone a head coach.

McCarthy will never be a head coach again after the Cowboys.
