Twitter: McCarthy responds to Jerry and Quinn/Payton noise

Is it fair to McCarthy? Prob not…. But I’m fine with it. If MM has a problem with it go win a SB…. Or get close. These guys get paid millions of dollars I don’t feel bad for them at all.

Maybe for once JJ holds his coach accountable and is telling him he isn’t gonna put up with the lack of preparation and mindless penalties

That's what I'm saying. If he can't shut down the run with our DTs who needs him? We can't keep wasting talent.

I listened to the first 5 minutes of this, and it was all just corporate gibberish and football jargon. Very general and nothing actually said
Ha! You cut it off too soon. The end is where he gets candid about not liking what's going on with the Quinn/Payton rumors.

After listening to that (I'll never get those 8 miiutes back), I think I know why Jerry hired McCarthy: He thought that since having a head coach from Princeton didn't work, he was going to go as far in the opposite direction as possible.

He knows he has no long-term future here...I expect him to be putting in the bare minimum this season so that they fire him. 2022 is shaping up to be one of the worst seasons in a long time already. Worst than 2020 and 2015 that were derailed by QB injuries

Or maybe he’ll bust his *** to prove the naysayers wrong, OR to land another job!

I will try to remain positive.

But man next year is going to be a crap show. We all know Sean is the guy next year and it’s going to be strange season
I don't think we know that at all

What a disaster. McCarthy does not sound happy at all.

Jerry's conduct since the end of the season has been a complete clown show.

Take the hillbillies money Mike and HF as you're toast after this coming season as he will require a new scapegoat!

That picture does him no justice

Is this one better?

What I find odd is what difference is there between Sean Payton and McCarthy? They both had HOF QBs and they both only have 1 Superbowl appearance and 1 win.
One won 3 less games with Winston, siemian, Ian book and taysom hill at QB and no Michael Thomas.

The other stepped aside instead of using his supposed strength to fix the offense when it sputtered. Then let his young oc take the blame.

I'm not a huge fan of giving up a lot for Payton or blaming mm but big boy didn't bring a lot to the team these past 2 years imo. I think most would agree that dal had a way more talented roster than no.

yeesh. i am not a fan of how this is unfolding at all

Honestly I can easily see Sean staying in broadcasting. It is the same money (more if you are good) for less hours.
