Romo can read a defense & process the field quickly.
Of course but if you say that . . . they immediately say he is a loser and over rated . . . then they say Dak and Romo are the same based upon Championships. . . Same exact argument Nav22 makes about Stafford.

Every discussion goes round and round and goes nowhere . . . And here we are with Dak The $40 Million QB aka Jordan Representative

Why? . . and How? I have no clue but here he is . . . Paid handsomely . . . still the QB of the Cowboys but yet He is the most polarizing Player in the History of sports.

Something which should be obvious to all . . . is not. . . its absolutely mind boggling

Either Dak is Elite . . or Dak is inadequate and lacking basic QB skills . . . its either or

Yet here we are Dak is the QB he is paid as if everybody wants him as their QB . . . yet every WR that ever played with him is criticized

There is a ton of talent on the O Line yet it is they who get blamed for Dak's performance . . . His leg fell off last year . . . yet it is a strained calf which is to blame for his inability to move in the pocket

I keep hearing its Kellen's fault. . . . but Kellen hasn't thrown a NFL pass in years . . .

Yet Dak is still the QB

I've seen Numerous QB's change teams (last 2 super bowl winners) but I keep hearing there are no other options

Yet Dak is still the QB

As the Dream that was Fred beard, Smith and Martin slowly becomes a wasted Memory . . . Fans are placing all the blame on this unit that has actually graded out very positively . . . And now demand a rebuild . . . over the next year all for . . . Dak . . . Yet Burrow did less with more

Now our strength . . . Dream Unit straight from Madden are the next up for escape gloating . . . I have been hearing that Cee Dee is over rated and is going soft ala. Jaylon Smith . . . I also hear he sucks at catching the ball. . . Cooper was silent all year until He had to speak up and He then immediately became enemy number #1 of the Dak Fanbase.

Shultz was a revelation until teams game planned for him and now he sucks . . gotta replace him

So this year in the Draft the Cowboys need 1 or 2 WR (that can catch) a LT because Smith is unreliable . . . a LG that is awsome and NFL ready . . . an awsome NFL ready Center

Then we need a TE that is an incredible athletic TE that can block also. . . (I am not sure they make those any more . . . but thats what we need)

And a RB

So that's 6 picks right there

Some claim we need DT and DE and LB but that can wait until next year.

Because Dak needs more help . . .

You put Stafford on Dallas, I guarantee they wouldn’t have lost to 49ers.He can actually read the D and see the field, and would have already let it rip, where Dak would have been sacked.

Are people still making an argument of whether Dak is better then Stafford? Does anyone truly think Dak could have navigated a 15 play game winning drive and make that no look pass in stride to Kupp on that last drive? Anyone still making the argument Dak is as good as Stafford looks silly in my opinion .

Some are, but not recently.I think 3 game winning drives in the playoffs shut them up.

Here is a comparison no one is making. . . What if Dak was drafted by the Lions in 2016 and was their QB since then . . . Dak would have been out of the league by 2018

I think you have it exactly right. And instead of even any constructive criticism you have Stephen literally saying he may be the best QB in the league and he just needs more favorable situations. Sorry Stephen most people would call 3 minutes and 3 timeouts with a healthy offense and a chance to win the game pretty darn favorable. Stephen and fans that can’t look at things objectively will always place blame elsewhere it seems.

But that is what is becoming so tiresome and unfair to everyone else on the team.

Stephen needs to read the room and realize He can't sell Dak any more . . . Dak is what he is and must stand on his own merits. . . . there is no more "Upside" this is his ceiling and he mist be judged on his performances.

Stephen coming out with that quote is the last straw for some around here

I'll give it 1 more year . . . but if Dak performs next year the way he did this year and The Jones boys are still defending him . . . I am done

We had best be able to run the ball or it will be more of the same that we saw the 2nd half of this season.

Am I wrong? No, I’m not. Aikman was a superior QB than Dak, and he had better teams and coaching.

If you dropped Dak on the 1992 Cowboys, we aren't getting to the super bowl. That's the only point here.

We had as much talent on this team as any in the league this year, and that's all you can hope for......... the rest is about execution and making plays.

Totally agree with you on all of this. It's tiresome and bewildering. Really silly. And I also agree, they shouldn't be defending him now and I think the act is making many people weary, when they see that and it may effect the cash cow known as the Cowboys they may quickly change their tune.

Like you said, it was a different league back then. Can’t really say how Dak would’ve fared back then, completely hypothetical.

I already acknowledged that Aikman was an elite QB, but he did have HOF talent on both sides.

Who is a HOF talent on our team right now? No one. Parsons could very well become one, but he’s just a rookie right now. Maybe Martin? A little tougher to determine if an OL will make it or not.

Aikman is no different than every HOF QB. He had help. But, what is not hypothetical is to think Dak is on that level. He's not even close.
