He was excellent this past season. However, when he is eligible for a big payday I'd be cautious on paying him. Corner Backs are an important position, but the DLINE is significantly more important. The Rams won because the DLINE applied pressure, Ramsey (one of the best CB in the league) was B.A.D and would have given up the game winning TD if Joey B had a second or two more.

So the Cowboys need to clear another $3 million in CAP space.

Ramey is overrated to be honest but wasn’t as bad as you are claiming. He gave up one big play and otherwise was fine except getting thrown by his face mask. Also the Rams were that good because the Bengals OLine was trash.

In general great modern defenses are built from the secondary.

He would’ve given up a touchdown to lose the game had Donald not gotten to Burrow

It'll depend on his play this next year. If he bites less on double moves but still ends up with 4-5 interceptions and a good pass defense rate, pay him. If he is beat regularly for long TDs and has major INT or PBU droubts, yeah we can move on.

If Burrow saw it and if Burrow throws it deep on 4th down, and if it’s on target then it’s a catch that could cause that outcome. The thing is though none of that was for sure.

Today I learned that you aren't affording Parsons AND Diggs unless you find a QB on a rookie deal.

Jerry Jones is the king of not only wasting rookie contracts but also HOF careers by insisting on hiring puppet coaches.

Why shouldn't I be eternally pissed??

Cornerbacks actually aren't important. They are a dime a dozen. League mediocre level is good enough to win with when you have a nasty front seven.

Thr only way I'd even entertain the idea of re-signing Trevon Diggs is if he can keep leading the league in interceptions every year. Otherwise not a chance.

What I will give him Kudos for is actually playing well 2 years in a row. If he did the 11 interception thing in a contract year , I'd be mighty suspicious. Ya know, how DLAW did lololololololol

I don't think we should realistically expect 10+ INT's every year, but if he can continuously deliver near the top of the league, he'll get top shelf $ from someone.

He's probably getting a monster extension after the 2022 season. I highly doubt Jerry doesn't do it, and waits for his contract to expire.

Parsons isn't up for an extension until after the 2023 season. By that time Zeke, Tank, and Cooper will be off the books. Probably some big named OL too. So yeah, they can afford both.

The dead money on these Dak restructures in that added voidable year are going to be sick.

But yeah they will probably find a way.

I expect it to be a very top heavy roster.....and those guys inevitably mail it in, or decline, or both.

You can already see how the zero FA excuse is nice and set up for quite a while.
