Coop could thrive in quite a few offenses. He's a 27-year-old, route running, stud wr.

Hes worth more than a mid round pick. This fanbase loves to trash on the players. If you are one of those who blame everything on Dak and / or KM, then it should carry over towards Coops drop in production. Of course, that's not really the case because who needs logic?

Not for Coop, probably Coop another player ex Zeke/Lamb/Smith along with another pick would make sense for them.

While I think this is actually a great, creative idea, I have a really hard time seeing us being able to jump that far for just Coop. Maybe 5 to 7 spots, the equivalent of like a 2nd or 3rd rounder, but much farther than that would surprise me I think.

They aren't all that difficult to come by in the draft on a cheap contract.

He is a good player but the value is tough to assess.

20m is a bit high but on the other hand, he will do way better than 2/20 with zero signing bonus on the open market.

Teams value high picks to offset large contracts.

That's why I'm calling it as a 3rd.

I'm getting the vibe he will be a flat out cut though.

They like to be player friendly, and thats the best case for Amari, so that's what I expect to happen.

....or just keep Coop.

You all really feel comfortable with Lamb as your #1?

I think of this question in two parts. Generally, I'm comfortable with CeeDee the player as a #1, but maybe not with our coaching staff. I think another team might be able to get Deebo-level productivity out of him, but I'm not sure we're equipped to do that, don't seem creative enough.

So I guess, ya maybe not.

Baltimore needs a player like Amari Cooper. Lamar Jackson will get him the football.

Baltimore has 2 first round WRs on the roster already. What they need is interior OLine help and probably some pass rush neither of which the Cowboys exactly have to trade.

But their receivers aren't reliable. And I'm not talking about Amari for a pick but Amari to swap 1st round picks. I think that is more doable. Baltimore gets pretty good value from low round 1st round draft picks.

Do we remember what Dak looked like before Amari? I keep wondering what on earth happened. He would target Amari throughout the game and especially on 3rd downs. Now Amari who is definitely a No. 1 receiver has to ask for targets. I wouldn't trade him, but if I'm big Mike , I have a sit down with KM and let him know to get his cr*p together as far as "scheme"

Teams picking that high would be very dumb to trade for Amari, not bc Amari isn’t good, but because rookie WRs can make immediate impact and there are plenty of really good ones in this draft who would also come with rookie cheap contracts

Interesting......hadn't thought of using Coop to move up in the draft but with this draft lacking many blue-chippers, I suppose it possible. What BB is saying is neither team loses a pick, Cowboys get 4th pick and Jets 24th.

Yep.. if Sam Darnold had the same weapons as Dakota Prescott???

What a minute....:muttley: :lmao2:

Looking at the numbers their most recent 1st round pick put up comparable numbers to Lamb in his rookie year (if you factor in that he missed what looks like the first 5 due to a preseason injury) and their other 1st round WR put up similar numbers to Lamb THIS year. So they have zero reason to trade the equivalent of a second round pick in order to get a minor upgrade at a position that is not one of need when they have actual positions of need that could be filled instead.

This is a stupid idea in a draft that is not too heavy but very deep

I’ll take their rd 2 and 4 picks for Amari

that’s a MUCH better idea

The Jets aren't as stupid as the Cowboys. They'll hold on to their picks where they are and end up getting Amari if they want him anyway.

Um are you sure about the Jets not being a stupid organization? This is exactly the organization that would do it. They could sell themselves on getting a proven WR for their QB. If it does happen the Jets would be the type of team.

Is there a no.1 receiver in the 1st?

I'd rather not lose the guy but where else arewe getting 16m desperately needed cap dollars?

Lots of mortgaging future money to do it otherwise.

If they then turn around and give Gallup 15 million I think that may be about the final straw for me.

Moving up from 24 to 10 would mean Cooper is worth a 2nd pick in the 2nd round. I think the Cowboys would have to offer the Jets more and that's assuming they have any interest in Cooper. I think the Cowboys would have to offer a 3rd to go with Cooper and their first.
