There is a lot of smoke that the team maybe moving on from DLaw this offseason due to his huge cap number. You would think the front office decision will be based on who is out there in fa and how the Edge Draft class is looking.

This year's Edge class is absolutely loaded, I counted 17 Edge players ranked in Dane Bruglar's top 100. You have to think the team is going to draft one somewhere within their top 3 selections.

It's shaping up that our top 3 draft priorities are looking like LG, DE and WR. When we start putting our projections in, let's keep in mind these are the areas of focus, unless something unexpected happens.

If the kid from FSU is there and we take him then DLaw is gone.

The team will probably ask Tank to take a pay cut. The question for Lawrence’s agent is, can he get a 40 million two year deal on the open market. That said I would love Karlaftis fall to 24, he would be the perfect compliment to Parsons. I still think the Cowboys want the best tackle/guard hybrid with the first pick but at 24 you can go any number of selections. I believe the Cowboys like Badasz, Joseph, Ball, Cox, and Gholston more then talking heads/fans believe. So look the Cowboys to draft the guard/tackle, wide receiver, safety, defensive tackle with the first four picks.

I think the front office would like to bring back both DLaw and Gregory if they can. However, both players will be 30 next season and the team has to get younger/cheaper at the position. They tried with Taco and some mid round development types, but haven't worked out. This doesn't mean they stop trying or they will have to continue to pay top dollar for the position.

Pass rushers are always in high demand, he probably will be long gone after his senior bowl week, but there should be quality to choose from.

I’m all for it long term, but please don’t cut our best DE and arguably best defender outside of Parsons.

Yeah the Cowboys want both DLaw and Gregory back, no doubt. One thing we can all agree on is the Cowboys want two good outside pass rushers while keeping the option of Parsons as a chest piece..

Could Dante Fowler at the fraction of the price for DLaw along with an improving Gholston could be more affective then Tank? Look at what we did with our safeties last season, solid safety play with three minimum salary players. Kearse should have been a pro bowler.

All you need for Fowler to be productive is to bring Aaron Donald along with him.

No…Fowler is not good.

If you let DLaw go and an edge player is the highest rated player on the board then you take him.

I’ve been looking at DE with my first round pick from the start. Take advantage of a deep class that allows you to move on from a low return on a big money contract.

If one DE is gone, the need becomes the #1 priority in my opinion.

Mine too. It makes the most sense to me. ‘It’s not personal, it’s just business’. Lawrence is a good player, but he’s costing us a great amount against a bad salary cap situation.

Something’s gotta give and it’s not ‘restructuring everybody’ and kicking the can further down the road. Get out of the bad deals if and when you can. Make the tough call like actual GM’s do.

Between Free Agency and the Draft there's a surplus of Edge Rushers. Cowboys will probably sign Gregory and draft a guy (Arnold Ebiketie?). Who knows what the do with DLaw.

this is a good lookin' de group...up and down the board.
