His very first comment is on the value of the cheerleaders to the franchise. Not the rights of the women or how sorry/sad he is. Not an apology.

It’s shameful.
I rather have the $2.4m than an apology, how about you?

It’s he said she said. They believed the she. 1 girls saw him recording the other 2. Did she say something at the time like “hey you dirty old man, what are you doing.”. Did she run straight to JJ or his wife. Or just contact a lawyer years later after they can no longer cheer.

.
If you read the ESPN article, all those questions would be answered.

The thing is you can have both. This could have been tried as Misdemeanor in Texas. And regardless whether found guilty or not could have filed civil suit.

Anyone else get the impression this was staged?

She basically apologized for asking the question.

Jerry doest bully the local media? Ok

Oh, I thought the same thing. If you're looking to get information, why would you remind him that there's an NDA and that he can't say much if you really want said information? If things are legit, what you hope is that he slips up and gives you dirt he wasn't supposed to give you. But these media folk know how to play ball with powerful people. Been doing it since forever. Fake news isn't some new phenomenon.

So— you paid 2.4 mil to show how “serious” you were in your “investigation”? Yet phone records, video records, testimonies etc… are all locked away by the NDA your 2.4 mil bought…. So we just get to take your word for it Jer?

Takes 2 to tango. They cheerleaders agreed to it. So, this is not all on Jerry. He wasn't obligated to do anything more than compensate them.

He could have fired him at the time. Then the cheerleaders could have filed charges against Rich. And then filed civil suit against him.

But Jethro decided to protect him and the Cowboys image , at least at that time.

Did you happen to catch his anger at the guys on 105.3, his flagship station, when they asked to pointed a question?

This is why the Musers at The Ticket pushed the envelope when they got the chance to get him to end their deal. They didn't like catering to him and his demands because they were the flagship. And the owner could have cared less because no station worth anything can make any money on the affiliation.

I carried them on my sports AM in OK and they tried to charge for it in one year and I cancelled the deal. I only carried it to have some Sunday programming and once you see the exclusive sponsor category list, there is no money to be made with it. They came back and said I could have it for free.

Booger is a very vindictive person and the media outlets know that. He takes everything about the team personally because he is the face of the franchise. In his mind, he is the Dallas Cowboys. He's gone way beyond Crazy Al.

It’s the cheerleaders’ fault for signing the NDA, not Jerry.

The cheerleaders had an attorney and they chose not to blow the situation up and make it a media event. The most darymple was guilty of is a misdemeanor in Texas. So, lets not pretend he raped someone.

The adults made an adult decision.

Misdemeanor is still a criminal offense. The decisions made were to protect the Cowboys image.

So I guess this means he took it very seriously since he won 3 of them. Great post.
What has Jerry done to win us a championship. Jimmy Johnson was person in charge of the draft, FA etc. Laundry drafted Irvin in 88. Jimmy and Jerry has the #1 pick in 89 and Hershel Walker. Jimmy acquired the players through trading and drafting and Jerry handled everything else. Then Jerry wanted recognition for acquiring players and that started the fued which lead to Jimmy leaving. Jimmy is the GM that won 3 super bowls. We barely hung on to beat the Steelers in SB 30. In '96 Jimmy's players either retired or was getting injured. Then Jerry stepped up his GM game and here we are.

I believe it's a false narrative that Jerry won 3 super bowls. Jimmy and the team Jimmy put together won those super bowls. The fact we haven't sniffed a super since Jimmy's team evaporated shows how bad Jerry is at playing GM.

No, but it could have been agenda driven or cover up which potentially is worthy of exposing .

Have you considered that the "victims" might find this equally embarrassing which is why they agreed to the settlement and NDA and their privacy is more important than the publics "right" to know? (which is actually more akin to gossip and voyeurism than a right)

Didn't Tex Schram have a two way mirror in the cheerleaders dressing room back in the sixties? I seem to recall that.

Yea but I usually look at who has more to lose.
