They don't "value" 1T at all, try to piece it together every year, and get pushed around.....perfect example of doing the same thing over and over despite the results.

That is why NFL Teams have been running the ball down the Jonesboys throat at +4.6 and 4.5 yards per carry the last 2 years. You need to value your LDT (see Pugh, Cole, Dutton, Casillas, Hennings, Spears, Canty). You have 3 1st round picks in that list. If you can not stop the run, forget even sniffing a Super Bowl, let alone a NFC Championship game.

The last Pro Bowl interior DL for the Jonesboys was Jason Hatcher. Hatcher told us about his nephew, but the Jonesboys would not trade back into the 1st (used for Cooper) to draft a DT. They knew everything about Jeffery Simmons and he was the Best Player Available of Need and not another WR from Oklahoma (2020 1st pick).

If the Cowboys do not focus on defense in the draft as they did in 2021, get ready for another Arlington Jonesboys face plant...

Interestingly when Marinelli was here, .it was perceived that he personally did not care or prefer bulky big boys - he opted for more movement types.
But what would be the situation now with Dan Quinn here ?

Is a coach thing/preference or more of a management preference ?

As HC of the Atlanta Falcons, one of the most notable of Dan Quinn's most notable mantras was "Fast and Furious". He wanted defensive players that were quick to read, react, and make the impact play.
(No. 11 fits his model to a T.)
I expect Quinn will push at McClay, McCarthy, Jones / Jones to continue to acquire talent along those lines.
