The smart teams would get a pick for him. It’s miserable that we have clowns running our organization.

Yeah, I’ve often wondered why we always seem to simply release players, who usually end up producing somewhere else. Other teams (New England, Pittsburgh, Green Bay and 20 or so others) get a trade, draft picks, comp picks, SOMETHING!

Why the uprorar? Amari has yet to mold into the player the Raiders and us expected him to be. WR's are a dime a dozen in free agency or the draft, so if we can sign Gallup to a good contract why not? Dude cost us games refusing to get vaxxed...I won't miss him
People aren't up roaring about losing Cooper.

It's the combination of just flat out releasing him after sending a first for him and the uncertainty of the WR room.

If the team can net a 2nd or 3rd round pick, then re-sign Gallup and Wilson, they will be happy.

They would definitely take a trade for for Amari. It makes no sense to keep him given the lack of production and a need to focus on OL, balance and ball control on offense.

The problem now is, Stephen and Jerry have let the league know he is gone. Why send a high draft pick? Just sign him

Don't you want to wait and see who is actually on the team in 6 months?

Lamb, Gallup, Wilson, Turner, draft pick and/or trade—sounds like a pretty good group to me. Cooper sounds disgruntled now, so how much would we actually be missing?

That's not exactly news. A team that covets a #1 WR has the opportunity to trade for him and not get into a bidding war.

Not even going to_Our 1 receiver who can consistently beat man coverage.I know the savings of $, but to get nothing in return shows Dallas FO ineptitude.I almost feel sorry for Dak.Ceedee had best step up.Time to fix Oline and run the ball effectively.
I agree...I don't want to release Cooper but it was obvious they will have to.

I expect they will try and fill the void through the draft and bargain FA.

So my prediction comes true. I can’t count how many times I was called an idiot for saying Amari would be released before 3/20. I guess now that slimy Schefter says so, y’all believe it.

Nah, instead Stephen will cry poor and talk about the big bad salary cap monster and warn of “cap hell” later. Cooper and Schultz will walk and they will invest more draft picks into those positions only for the rest of the team to stay stagnate and not be upgraded. Which will result in another early round playoff exit.

But thank god our salary cap future looks bright

Kick in the nuts would be if the eagles pick him up. Some they are ready to move on from Reagor and need another good WR, and they'd rather save their three #1's for defense.

Because Gallup is a poor mans Alvin Harper, he is not a #1 never has been, never will be. CeeDee may never be a number 1 either. Gallup is much easier to replace than cooper since well Gallup is not under contract.

Put him in front of a decent QB and watch the fireworks.
"Decent QB"

LOL.

More like, now that he will be cut...he will get the fire back and be more like 2018 Coop....

I'm hoping the issue here is, they have approached Amari about a trade and a restructure of his deal - but he has advised he won't do it if traded to a team he doesn't wish to go to - so that limits the trade value.

Just doesn't make sense - while the cap number is big, majority of the guaranteed money is already paid, and you can restructure this to a very team friend deal (something like $9 million cap hit, which for a #1 WR is great)

I'd rather restructure his deal and him stay than just out right release him. There is only a $3.5 million dollar difference is release vs restructure.

I said it right after the season and was mocked and ridiculed by the "experts" on this site.

It is an obvious move that he can't be with the team next year...
