Combine buzz

McShay:

  • We've mentioned this at length, but I want to drive home the theme of the night: These receivers are F-A-S-T. Per ESPN Stats & Information research, the most receivers in a single combine to turn in a sub-4.4 time in the 40-yard dash was eight in 2007. On Thursday night, we saw eight more. If you want a burner, you'll have options.

  • Of the next tier of quarterbacks, Cole Kelley (SE Louisiana) stood out on Thursday night. He is an efficient passer with a big arm and some good mobility. I want to dig in a little more on the 6-foot-7, 249-pound quarterback's tape.

Wonder how our scouts will feel about Linderbaums size

Linderbaum's weight is pretty constant, he might not get much bigger.

He’s six pounds heavier (296 lbs) than what he’s typically been listed at (290 lbs) pre-Combine.

In fairness, what other o-linemen have you been tracking in terms of weight?

Gotta remember this is the absolute worst time to be trying to trade a player for draft capital. Teams have a pocketful of picks, mind full of optimism, and opportunity to improve with cheaper talent.

I suspect Cooper will be outright cut if we do part ways.

His, maybe it's already been updated but this morning NFL.com had him at 296.

Just terrible management all around from the team. They knew they were heading into this situation and not only did nothing, but actively let the rest of the league know what they would do
