Another mistake. No one was a bigger proponent of Schultz when he was draft eligible than I was, and I think he's a good player. But, he's good enough to let go and not concern yourself too much over losing. At an 11M per season salary? Huge mistake, but not surprising given the front office.

He is a dime a dozen TE who benefits from Dump Off Dak.

A tight end making the league minimum would give you the same results

I hope they don't re-sign him, that would be a bigger mistake.

I believe the team can rescind the franchise tag if they choose to if the player doesn’t sign it. Let’s hope that’s the case.

There is rarely any point in doing so. At that point you have already had to allocate the cap money to keep the player and a rescinded tag is ineligible for a comp pick so if you tag a player it is almost certainly to keep him.

Cooper is probably gone. I sure hope they have a good plan to get better at WR.
