While other teams make big moves, the Cowboys do squat

Spend the money and they're stupid. Don't spend the money and they're cheap.

The Broncos gave up a lot of draft capital for a QB and the Packers gave up a lot of cap space for a QB. Other than that, what happened?

GB extended Rodgers for 200M, 153M guaranteed, and the Cowboys tagged Schultz for 10M. I'd say they're even. I mean, c'mon, their QB is in a MVP season but all anyone wants to talk about is the Cowboys QB is in a slump. That's not even a football term, the Cowboys are transcending football and the next thing we know Gregory will get called for icing.

The crap started 26 seasons ago and continues, every year the same crap from the Jones idiots, it's a SB roster. I know what is worse, fans who believe them and their idiot roster management.

It is expected. Yet every year fans whine about it like they expect it to change.

This front office is really bipolar.

Before they would spend way too much money to bring in players, after Jimmy, and it did not get the results they expected.
Now with Stephens tight purse strings they don't spend at all.

There seems to be no happy medium with the FO.

Irritating but in the end I just don't have that much energy to be surprised or upset about it. It is not a shocker anymore.

Where does the Schultz tag rank him salary wise?

Hes gotten significantly better each of the last two years and is easily a top-10 TE.

The idea that you can just find a 78/808/8TD guy anywhere in the draft or on the street is preposterous. If they’re not paying Schultz top 3 money, that’s a good deal.

Yes a trade, do you read? I specifically said TRADE. Not FA signing. Geez
you specifically said nothing. You asked whos making big moves
Wilson has been traded to the Broncos...........do u read????? and I return the GEEEEZ

yes he was traded, not FA signing. and if you read below I said other than signing their own and trades.

Might want to check the news.
Are you talking about Rodgers? He signed with the team he was already on.

Wilson? That kind of monster deal is rare, and not at all indicative of what other teams are doing..

He is paid top 7 money.

While other teams will be out there on the market, making BIG moves to improve themselves and truly chase a championship, our marvelous Dallas Cowboys tag JAGs like Dalton Schultz and re-sign all-world talent like Noah Brown.

You want to trade two firsts and two seconds for Russell Wilson????

In that reality, we would have had to play the last two years without a real starting QB, maybe like Teddy Bridgewater, because you can't hypothetically have Dak signed then also do this trade. In that case the first we gave up might be top 10 this year without a QB.

I get some frustration, but what is a realistic trade that rivals this splash?

This team is so predictable and pathetic. Year after year, same old “the cap is a real factor” word vomit, while proclaiming they are in it to win it. At this point, why does any fan fall for the snake oil sales tactics?

Am I still bitter from the playoff embarrassment? Yes.

Do I understand the decisions they’re making so far in the offseason? Nope.

Will I still be here to watch the ship sink again next season? Unfortunately.

Seattle weakened themselves and the fact that GB and Seattle made those moves keeps our rivals or the teams in the nfc from getting better. BTW any moves in FA when player is added means he was subtracted from another team , reality of FA is stop looking around as if this somehow miraculously and suddenly makes a team better, its ON PAPER a nice move yet for the other teams a bad one then , right? swapping spots maybe.

so may dream team scenarios failed more teams who make these big paper moves don't see much of a return..

how about this FA is just starting can you wait until the season over to judge the moves..jeez Louise. drama queen alerts all over once again 1 day into the league year and we already have the DC losers..

also remember TB bucs bringing back all 2 was supposed to get them a b2b SB was it not i remember when AD and Bron decided together and in many giant names would start new dynasty didn't work from either team.one and done

ONE AND DONE

on paper brah remember the games have to be played. lets see how 2022 ends before questioning every damn move!

That is "a" big move (singular). The comment he responded to said other "teams" (plural) are making big moves. The Wilson deal isn't remotely indicative of what other teams are doing.

Trade a 1st round pick for Cooper just to dump him. So they can franchise tag a 4th round pick in Schultz!

Too freaking funny you’re actually too sad. That’s our french fries for you

and its actually helps the DC two gof,.d RW is out of the NFL and hes not in the NFC East like the Rogers deal only helps us really.

The situation with Cooper is a disappointment, but if they need the cap space they need the cap space, and he's a place to get it. I know you realize they wont be dumping Cooper so they can tag Schultz, and that draft status really doesn't matter 4-5 years into a career. Cooper was a goner whether they were going to tag Schultz or not.

If they extend him during the season and cut that, I think that’s a solid deal. He’s definitely a top-7 receiving TE.

Be great if they could come up with a longer deal instead of the franchise tag. However even the tag in my view make sense. Out side of Schultz who do we have? To say we would get one in the draft? sure but I would think those top 2 to 3 picks are likely OL and DL, TE 4th rd on, more than likely.

Dak's contract raised the QB bar to the moon.
Rodgers, Allen, and other future QB deals that are pending should send Dak and his agent major thank you gifts!!!

When there’s one cap, it’s ALL connected. Personally, I think Cooper is closer to a $20 million player than Schultz is to $11 million. Do you disagree?

I'm not sure what that has to do with the topic, but sure, Dak's contract, as well as Mahomes' contract, changed the landscape for QBs.
