Stephen should call up Rams and ask them how the heck they do this.

This would be a huge move for the defense in more than one way. Would free up Parsons A LOT!

You guys are in luck!! Jerry Jones will do anything known to man to help get his team to a Super Bowl! Certainly that includes signing top tier free agent talent!

If he has any interest in a DQ reunion— we would be stupid to not explore a deal. I am expecting nothing from SJ but more yammering about how cap tied we are however

We will offer 1-3 million per year. He will sign for 10+ easily

This would be a dream signing. Hell of a day for Seattle losing Russ and Wagner in one day.

He will have plenty of suitors and will be paid. It won’t be in Dallas
Dallas will only overpay for average players.

We can't afford LVE how much less do you think wagnor will be? On a serious note they will let the market die down, see who's left, then start talking to guys.

Agreed. He's worn but still high level (played 16 games last year and made day 1 pro bowl roster along with 2nd team all-pro).

Even if he intentionally signed at a signifcant discount to a contender I think he still gets at least 3 years 45 million.

Yeah surprised by his resume. 6x first team all-pro, all decade team, 8x pro bowl (all of which day 1 roster). Those are first ballot numbers.

He made 2nd team all-pro last year so that easily puts him out of Stephens price range
He’s gonna be out of lots of teams price range if he’s going for the best payday
Some guys go for a ring and take less and if so he could get any number of offers from serious playoff teams
Seattle can draft some LB
Last year was his career high in tackles at 170 yet he didn’t lead them in tackles
You got some lb when you get 350 tackles from two of them combined
But that’s why they could move on
They’ve never been the same without the legion of boom but they can draft LB with the best of them

That isn’t a totally dumb plan
You have what you have to spend
But unless they get really lucky like last year it gebb be really doesn’t get you any real impacts
Last year was the exception
We actually did very well in FA
They need to do it again but it’s not likely

Miller wants to go back to Denver. He has absolutely no reason to want to come to Dallas, unless he enjoys excessive hype and playoff failure.
You’re right about the hype and playoff failure but the first part had me scratching my head lol, he’s literally from Dallas (but you know that now)

Wagner actually has talent and isn't on drugs or doesn't have a long history of off the field problems so he's probably not one of those guys we like

If we're intent on cutting Dlaw, then signing Wagner would fill that leadership (and talent) gap, even if they're at different positions.

We have a legit star on defense. We should go all in on him and surrounding him with players that help him be more successful.

We have other ppl we can trade or cut (Brown, Collins) to create room and we absolutely should.

No it's not completely dumb. But when things seem to be working out they have got to do a better job going for it and yes you pay a higher price but you are also more likely to win a playoff game. Definitely need more guys out playing their contracts for sure.
