Actually, we'd be better off today if we were bottom-feeders. Being better than the rest in a garbage division is enough to convince Jerry (and a lot of fans) that we can beat good teams, even when we lose to every good team. If we were Lions or Jets bad, we wouldn't be stuck in cap hell, and since Jerry only believes in building through the draft, maybe a few years of utter failure would have had us on the verge by now.

I'm shocked there are so many Cowboys who simultaneously believe that last year's Dallas Cowboys were a legit Super Bowl contender but also have the worst front office in the world. You know, the same front office that built a Super Bowl contender.

Last year's 12-6 record (including the 49ers loss) says everything you need to know. They were 6-0 against the NFC East and 6-6 against the rest of the league. In other words, an average team that was capable of scoring lots of points against bad teams.

So why not accept that their record speaks for itself and that it reflects the quality of the front office. Yes very delusional and nowhere near deserving of the national media attention, but not perennial bottom feeders like the Lions, Jets, Jags or other teams consistently getting top 5 draft picks.

Just tired of delusional Cowboys fans who have to have an extreme view on everything.
than go away please Fart far away cancel your account here and move on..

those 6 losses, 4 were by under one score.. 3, 2(sb champion) , 6, 6, was it 10 by KC the sb runner up? wow we got buried by those playoff teams! we didn't that's why we were contenders we shot ourselves in the foot mostly penalty's is why we lost those games. Denver was the only game we lost in all 4 phases wasn't never in it ..the rest easily could have swung the other way,. we simply need to team to clean up the mental part of their games..

Bye Felicia!

Yep agreed. Dak is somewhere between average and above average. Not the worst QB by far. But yes should not be getting paid top 5 QB money.

I’m in the middle with Dak . Get rid of him and your where ? With Dalton the bulk of the previous season it was 6-10 . Rush ? He’s a capable back up no more no less . The juries out on all these “ hyped # 1 Qb’s taken round one last year , none seem to have the look of SB but who knows. It took a gunslinger who throws interceptions like Stafford 13 yrs to get to a SB.

I think # 4 needs a better OLine and fresh legs to rotate in with 21 & 20. When Zekes hobbling around because he’s physical stop giving him 15 carries get an alternate to rotate with Pollard. In other words losing Cooper not the end of the world by any means .

# 4 is a better look then 7-9 no mans land.

Can't wait for the "at least we're not the Jets or Jags" parade.

The delusion is believing that the same two guys who have produced 3 playoff wins in the last 25 years are going to suddenly outsmart the rest of the league. At least those other teams fire the GM and personnel directors when they fail. That never happens in Dallas, so there's little reason to expect anything more.

Did the Cowboys put up 29 in TB the previous years SB winner. Did they score over 30 take it to NE . Get some pieces on both sides of the line I think 12-6 is a lot closer to Rams Bengals then the Lions Jets toxic area. Maybe I’m delusional . The Cowboys were out coached by the 49ers that simple and that’s not good .

NO its not!

neither side effect this team and that what your side is delusional we arent spending countess hours creating fake narratives to make a stand and constantly whine about things that can not be changed... we are Dallas cowboy fans and know what ever team is fielded , that who we cheer for and have zero control . want to debate the game lets go want to stay in deep dark dungeon in fantasy land crying whining and throwing toddler tantrums, go ahead , it makes no doffernce ..its still just little whiney immature nonsense.. be dark, go doom and gloom but only way you can make change is within yourselves. If you aren't happy with anything the team does MOVE ON..go away cancel your account go choose another perfect franchise you are seeking.

The fact you use the term "fake narratives" validate what I said about you. DELUSIONAL.
You simply don't have a valid rebuttal .

The Cowboys lost the 49ers game with an inability to counter the 49ers dominance of our OLine. If the defense is daring you to throw dropping 7 in coverage rarely blitzing ….Shove it down the throats of the D stretch the chains eat clock keep your defense off the field. Couldn’t do it. The backs were met by a defender as soon as the ball was handed to them .

Getting rid of Connor Williams and Collins is a start . And get someone anyone to compete for the centers job .

i say they are fake ie exaggerated and started to make it seem true is not fact,,oppions fashioned into rebuttal is stil just and opinion and ie creates fake narrative. Now go back to your dark hole you live in..you are like a handful here not realist ,not woke you are simply negative soles who are insidious to the rest of us.,like the grudge hanging over fans shoulders trying to take over.

Its not working,

odd you still here signed up on COWBOYS site and hate all things cowboys, yet here you are,.,Jones owns rent in you all heads because you hate the team and all things associated with the team what that again going back to 1996 and yet here you are..

if you think you are the norm better go check the facts might be small % that feel like you but you are still talking and following the cowboys like its a bible , again Jones owns you not us. we are simply football fans who luv our Cowboys and watch for football reasons and can debate the games but dont get into these stupid narratives. the stadiums full, the brand not hurting, and while we hope for more playoff success and another SB, its not some prerequisite to maintain my fandom. there are no terms, we are simply fans and watch for entrainment and sense of comradery within the fanbase.

if you truly didnt like what was going on you would walked away 100% never watch another game and never talk to anyone about the Cowboys..instead you enjoy being negative and troll..it apparent those want to attack real fans yet they still follow the cowboys in the same manner.

Insidious.

good points everyone want to blame dak or zeke and say OL is an excuse blah blah blah..

Moore and the OL need to find string threating run game then play action off that and go feed the hot hand ie maybe scheme to get Lamb an X number of catches..thats what's lacking here..the OL was either manhandled by 4 man rush or got penalty every other play..

The way Pollard is used is mystifying. He’s a speed back run him outside the tackles get him more screens and even designed pass routes take advantage of his ability.

Zeke’s replacement coming sooner then later ( next season 2023 ) plus Pollards FA in 23 make finding a capable back not a bad goal in the draft war room in April along with help on both trenches .

Many fans are frustrated that this team was the most penalized team in the league. That fact says a lot. It says that the team was undisciplined. It says that those fans that think this team could have done better in the playoffs had it been more disciplined are probably right. Yes, some of the calls were bogus, but certainly not all of them. In reality, most of the penalties called on the Cowboys were legitimate.

Thirty-one teams were penalized less than the Cowboys. Even the Raiders were penalized less. Leading the league in penalties is an extremely bad performance, and not one dreamed up by fans' delusion. (Some delusional fans might think that all those penalties were unjust.)

I hope that one of the goals set by the coaching staff is to move from being first in penalties to being at the lower end of the spectrum, something like 24th. If this team had been that disciplined, I don't think it's delusional to say that it could have won that playoff game against the 49ers. Maybe it would have even had a shot at winning one more. That's hard to say, but the 49er game was very winnable.

The answer is simple. Fans have grown tired of having their hopes and dreams being crushed year after year. No one likes being teased with treats, only to have them taken away. So we are tired of the FO amassing talent, then getting their butts kicked by the cap, with no Super Bowl appearances. It's a wash, rinse, and repeat scenario.

Great take,
I have come to accept that as long as we have amateur folks running our front office, and running an entitled culture we most likely are never going to have much success.
Will always have fond memories of what this team used to be under Landry and Jimmy.
