Cam Jurgens C Nebraska- Former 4 star TE that was 240 lbs as a freshman when arriving on campus at Nebraska. He redshirted his freshman year to switch to oline and then commenced to start at center for 3 straight years. His movement skills are elite and gets to the 2nd level with ease. Plays with an attitude and hustle.
Where he can get into trouble is with large powerful DT’s. He held his own for the most part in college, but asking him to absorb a NT 1 on 1 can be an issue. However, he was listed at 290 last year and weighed 303 at the combine. Only being less than 4 years into a body transformation it’s fair to think he can continue to get bigger and stronger as he gets older.
Zach Tom C/T Wake Forest- Versatile and athletic olineman that started off as a C before switching to LT as the teams best option. While it seems he isn’t being written off as an
OT, I think his lack of length makes OC his best fit in the NFL. Tom also has elite movement skills with the ability to block on the move and to get to the 2nd level. Technician blocker who does well with pad level and footwork.
Could also use a bulk up and a few lbs of good NFL weight to hold up against bigger nfl DT’s.
Alec Pierce WR Cincinnati- Big WR at 6’3 210 with 4.4 speed and 40” vert. Tough and physical with the ability to box out defenders and high point the ball. Great body control making catches. Knows how to find the soft spot in zones and is very qb friendly. Reliable hands.
His acceleration off the line is slightly slow and can be disrupted by press.
Kevin Austin Jr WR Notre Dame- Dynamic WR with great size, speed and athletic ability. 4.4 speed shows on the field, legit deep threat. Shows the ability to track and adjust to the ball with good hands. Very dangerous with the ball in his hands in space.
Now the red flags…suspended for violating team rules in 2019 and missed most of 2020 with foot surgery. But if foot and character checks out he could be a mid round steal as a big time talent.
Charlie Kolar TE Iowa St- This 1 surprises me that Kolar isn’t more talked about. Great size, athleticism and college production. Big reliable target that can work underneath or stretch the middle of the D. Soft hands that reliably snatch the ball in traffic.
The 1 big knock is that his blocking is really lacking right now…but so are a lot of college TE’s. He has the ingredients to think he should vastly improve. 6’6 255 that is fluid in space and great hands isn’t all that easy to find, don’t overthink it.
Dominique Robinson DE Miami Oh- Recruited as a WR and switched to pass rusher. Shows the elite traits you want to see as a pass rusher with great burst up field and the ability to flatten and turn the corner to get to the qb. His lateral agility with quick swim moves or change of direction can leave slow footed OT’s in the dust.
Still raw and needs to use his hands more effectively and develop some counter moves. Run support also needs work.
JoJo Dooman LB Nebraska- Versatile former S that bulked up to LB. He lined up as MLB, OLB/Edge, and nickle CB for Nebraska’s D. Moves extremely well in space and has great awareness. Hustle player and hard worker. Fits what you want in a new era LB that can cover TE’s.
At 6’1 230 not the type of LB you want taking on OG’s in the run game consistently.
Slightly worrisome injury history. Tore his ACL twice in 2017 and season ending hand surgery in 2021
