Gregory money for Armstrong, Fowler, Washington and LVE?

I think they all will end up starting save Armstrong and Fowler. Fully expect us to take DE at 24, regardless of who it is

The very strong indicators, meaning talking heads that have some or little connection are saying it will definitely be a G or maybe WR in the first. DE probably won't happen until 3rd or later. But who knows Karlaftis or Ojobe might be there at 24 pretty slim odds, but if so and Green or whoever is there too they would take Green.

I am correct to assume only Washington is expected to start? Armstrong, Fowler and LVE are depth. Can't imagine they're expecting bargain bin/low-cost players to actually start and have an impact.

Re-signing LVE was a big mistake. He's had only one good season, his rookie. He's missed 19 games thereafter. The gap between LVE & Parsons was a wide one. Micah was a phenom all year long while LVE only turned it on late. Not good!

For 3 million he is just a place holder and will be a two down player. I still believe the team is going to invest in drafting another future starter.

And I have another concern. Players are getting signed but not Kearse. I am worried that the longer this drags out the less likely they sign him. He was a big part of this team and another JAG is not going to fill his shoes on the Cowboys defense.

Follow the money Well.. what little of it we spent. At this point we as fans and players on the outside KNOW this team will not offer multi year deals to players on the outside.. Wagner isn’t coming here. Maybe we get Kearse back. The heavy lifting once again to be done in the draft.

52 quarterback hits, 16.5 sacks, eight forced fumbles and one interception in 50 career games. These numbers are pretty good. If Gregory is on the field he is an exceptional player. The experts in the NFL who ranked him one of the top free agents are not all wrong. People are focusing on the penalty in the playoff game and ignoring what he does when he plays. He is disruptive and a playmaker. If his off the field issues are behind him he is well worth the $14 million a year. I would prefer him of Fowler.

You are taking a big chance. Now he was the best defensive end in the world against Carolina, Patriots and the Vikings.

I'd much rather have Green or Zion or Linderbaum than Karlaftis or Odabo. I don't like either player. Even Jermaine Johnson I'm not sold on.

Has Randy ever played a full 16 and now 17 game season? Both Armstrong and Fowler had nearly the same sack totals as randy. Though total pressures from both are probably about the same as randy's to me its better depth to have 2 guys who can get 5 sacks a year as opposed to 1. This also brings back last years MLB who is not great but servicable while you hope to draft the future starter. And we clearly need the depth at WR given cooper is gone and gallup could miss 4 games to start the season.

So while I'm not saying any are an upgrade but signing randy to a big contract isn't an upgrade either and exposes you to a severe lack of depth.

I honestly feel like Honey Badger or Collins can do what Kearse does. There should be no rush in signing Kearse.

in DQ scheme fowlers career is far better than Gregorys not sure why fans cant go look themselves, its not close hes better in every stat line..Fowler could easily be the starter with split rotation possible with Armstrong, add in parsons part time and well we still have the draft but yes for the cost of Gregorys deal we sure got a lot more players who possible will produce at nice level.

Why is anyone trying to figure out who the starters are now? All these deals are reasonable and all the players are NFL caliber guys. They aren’t superstars but you don’t get those types at these prices. Each one of these guys can fill a role and contribute when called upon. There is plenty of time to go for them to decide to add a higher priced option or two at need positions. There is plenty of time to pull off a trade or two and for another team to unexpectedly cut a player which happens every year in camp. Then there is the draft. In a few months there will be 12-15 new players on the team. That’s the time to talk about who will start because at that point, all the names will be known.

Re-signing LVE was a big mistake. He's had only one good season, his rookie.LVE only turned it on late. Not good!

Perhaps the injured neck caused him some hesitation mentally. Who knows? He did come on late and was descent in the lone play off game last season. Depth or starter is fine as long as he improves on last season wherever he may fit. Can't all be stars, you have to have some grunts in order to fill out your roster. LVE has never been in trouble on or off the field so this is at least a safe kinda signing for one year. I can live with that.
