These dallas employees will spin anything to try to make it sound good. These were trash moves and nothing more. He's saying he'd rather have 4 players than just 1is comical.

Randy Gregory is just trash.....and I'm glad he is gone. Denver still hasn't signed Gregory....because no one knows where he is. Wouldn't shock me if he turned up in a gutter w/ some homeless chick.

I fully expect

Washington starts at WR3
LVE starts MLB
Armstrong starts RDE, Fowler is rotation with Basham

I think that's what we're looking at unless we end up with a better player in the draft. The strategy the Joneses have been employing in their bargain-bin method is making sure each position is filled in FA with a player who could start so that the team isn't forced to draft a starter and therefore can take a player like Lamb if he falls to them.

We lost Wilson, sign Washington (third receiver check).

We lost Gregory, sign Fowler (third-down rusher check)

We brought back Armstrong (DE rotation), Hooker (free safety), LVE (outside linebacker), Brown (fourth receiver), Gifford (LB depth), Schultz (starting TE), Sprinkle (blocking TE) and I've probably missed a few others.

Collins is gone (Steele can start). Williams is gone (McGovern can start). Cooper is gone (Gallup can start). Neal is probably gone (Cox can start). If Kearse is gone (Wilson can start). A few more players may be added to make sure we have the right amount of depth and other bargain binners who can possibly start.

Doesn't mean they think these alternatives make us better, just that they cover our needs.

This is a unique rebuild because they are paying several underachieving contracts that they can’t shed quickly. They are admitting defeat through actions instead of by words

I’m all for it. Keep purging till the all the crap is gone.

Lawrence, Elliot and Prescott won’t be here when a championship caliber team finally hits the field
Lol. Prob not Elliot or Lawrence

Fowler,15 tackles and 4 sacks all of last year! ALL YEAR!!! If he gets anywhere near the starting nod Jerry and Stephen have lost their ****** minds!

That is true but the Falcons defense was trash and they got blown out a lot, he did have 30 pressures so he does have some pass-rush ability.

If Dallas can get 6 sacks from him and 6 from Armstrong they will be ok.

Wish they put a higher priority on the defensive line but it is what it is.

The thought of McGovern starting at LG as more troubling to me.

Whether most of us like it or not, you pretty much hit the nail on the head as to what they do.

I am correct to assume only Washington is expected to start? Armstrong, Fowler and LVE are depth. Can't imagine they're expecting bargain bin/low-cost players to actually start and have an impact.

So let me get this right......we are giving starting positions to a career backup and a LBer we exposed to free agency and brought back with value of only $3M? That's NOT an upgrade, in fact, it's not even on par with last season.
LVE will probably be a nominal starter. He'll be off the field in most passing sub packages

I think this sets them up to take BPA. Although I think OL seems most likely if the value is there.

We're a victim of our own success. They saw how much they struck gold last year on bargain FAs and decided they could do it again.

Re-signing LVE was a big mistake. He's had only one good season, his rookie. He's missed 19 games thereafter. The gap between LVE & Parsons was a wide one. Micah was a phenom all year long while LVE only turned it on late. Not good!
I agree if it was a long term deal but I'm good with it being a 1 year rental. He knows the defense. Let's get out from under these bad contracts and then fix MLB for long term. LVE won't be with us in 2023, one year stop gap till we find his true replacement.

Basically the Cowboys have taken the money they nearly paid to Randy & ended up getting Armstrong, Washington, Fowler & LVE in return. In this particular case I’ll take the 4>1.

We're either going to strike gold again on these low dollar contracts and have another winning season, or we're going to flirt with .500 and Jerry will realize you can't win it all with just scrubs and will pull the trigger for a big name trade to "get them over the hump." i.e. season we got Coop.

Do you really believe a bunch of bargain basement players are winning a championship? You do understand, that only reason the DFT is in this fix is due to their incompetence?
