To those unfamiliar with my mock drafts, I not only post my selections, but I also show a clip through YouTube or a link about the player along with why I chose the player plus the measurements. I'm finally getting around to my 1st one this year. The draft was done on https://www.pff.com/draft/nfl-mock-...64029f86&complete=7&draft_grade=A&multi=false.

I traded the 24 spot to the Buccaneers in exchange for the 26, 60 (2nd round), and 248 (7th).

1. Bernhard Raimann OT Central Michigan

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bernhard_Raimann 6'7 and 305 lbs

With the loss of Lael Collins and understandable concerns with Tyron Smith, I started with choosing Bernhard Raimann. As good as Steele is, Bernhard looks like an absolute monster at tackle. It's time to start rebuilding the Great Wall of Dallas, and this is a good place to start.

2a. Leo Chenal LB Wisconsin
https://www.profootballnetwork.com/leo-chenal-wisconsin-lb-nfl-draft-scouting-report-2022/ 6'2" and 261 lbs. Quote "Chenal’s previous two seasons were just a precursor for his NFL Draft ascension in the 2021 college football season. After opening the season with a sack and 8 tackles against Notre Dame, the Wisconsin LB went on to tally double-digit tackle games in five of his 11 appearances. A career-high 17 tackles against Army was followed by an exceptional performance against Purdue, which consisted of 5.5 tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks."

Looks great against the run and in pass rush. Between him, Parsons, and Leighton, our LB would be among the deadliest in the league.

2b. Cameron Thomas DE San Diego State
https://www.profootballnetwork.com/cameron-thomas-san-diego-state-de-nfl-draft-scouting-report-2022/ 6'4" and 264

Pass rush is a need, especially at DE and with Gregory going to the Broncos. So, meet Cameron Thomas. I"m impressed by his pass rush abilities, and I think he'd be a nice replacement to Gregory.

3. Dylan Parnham G Memphis
https://bleacherreport.com/articles...fl-draft-2022-scouting-report-for-memphis-iol 6'2" and 311 lbs.

Excellent blocker, especially with run blocking. With Connor Williams now in Miami, a LG is important to select, and Parnham would be a nice replacement. This gets two key lineman weaknesses fixed up, which should allow Dak more time to throw and Zeke and Pollard more places to run.

4. Christian Watson WR North Dakota State
https://www.nfl.com/prospects/christian-watson/32005741-5431-6591-b680-d3a3d3536d62 6'4" and 208 lbs.

Tall and quick WR who seems to possess quite a good jump as well. WR is a need, and this is a solid player to get on this team.

5a. Noah Elliss DT Idaho

https://www.nfl.com/prospects/noah-elliss/3200454c-4c76-1367-9665-fc061bf42c99 6'3 346 lbs.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UVr3KcMVFAw

Large DT that looks to be able to take the 1T role. He looks good against the run. Lots of power with him. He would make running against us difficult.

5b. Pierre Strong Jr. RB South Dakota State
https://www.nfl.com/prospects/pierre-strong/32005354-5265-8099-4e5a-fedfdfa80694 5'11" and 207 lbs.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O9J4_lIhwRY&t=18s

Quick runner who shoots through the holes well and is good at run blocking. I think Pollard is on the last year on his contract, and it would be good to get Pierre Strong to compliment Zeke. The three RBs in this scenario would make stopping the run hard to do against us.

5c. Otito Ogbonnia DT UCLA
https://www.nfl.com/prospects/otito-ogbonnia/32004f47-4257-3735-a031-5296cebb42ec 6'4" and 324 lbs.

I did not locate any useable highlights on this player. That said, this player would also be a good potential 1T, thus rotating well with Elliss. This player has a history as a shotputter.

5d. Kevin Austin Jr. WR Notre Dame
https://www.nfl.com/prospects/kevin-austin-jr/32004155-5374-9254-94ca-870bbdf22344 6'2 and 200 lbs

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X-8QoUQ2Pls

This player had a nice year in 2021, and this is a player who can help add to WR depth, which will be needed. Seems to be particularly good with contested passes.

6. Matt Araiza P San Diego State
https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/players/2964214/matt-araiza/ 6'2" and 200 lbs.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OafZBFXyg-M

Matt Araiza may be the best punter in college football. He had not one but 2 80+ yard punts. This player has incredible leg strength, and he'd be a nice replacement for Brian Anger, and what an addition he'd be at punter! He'd be an absolute weapon with how he can flip field position.

7. Andrew Mevis K Iowa State
https://247sports.com/player/andrew-mevis-45573333/ 5'11 and 190 lbs.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2n4tyfzKbL4

Played a year at Iowa State, but I liked hearing his statline. With how poor our kicking was last season, a kicker is a need. So, we'd be upgrading the punting and kicking positions.

Condensed: Trade 24 to TB. Exchange: 26, 60 (2nd round), and 248 (7th).

1. Bernard Raimann OT Central Michigan
2a. Leo Chenal LB Wisconsin
2b. Cameron Thomas DE San Diego State
3. Dylan Parnham OG Memphis
4. Christian Watson WR North Dakota State
5a. Noah Elliss DT Idaho
5b. Pierre Strong Jr. RB South Dakota State
5c. Otito Obdonnia DT UCLA
5d. Kevin Austin Jr. WR Notre Dame
6. Matt Ariaza P San Diego State
7. Andrew Mevis K Iowa State

I doubt the Cowboys are going to use a first round pick on someone thats going to be 25 years old on draft day.
Bucs aren't going to give up a second rounder to move up two spots in the first round.

That may be with the lineman I chose, but he's the best one available with where we would be picking, and tackle is an important thing for us to draft. I can certainly see that from the Bucs and maybe we get a 3rd. In that situation, I'd have gone with a WR from Boise State I saw, and the 4th rounder would have been a CB from Sam Houston State University that I liked. I'll probably do another one later this week with that.

Love the class, but that trade doesn’t look realistic. Rainmann isn’t talked about much, but can start at guard and kick out to tackle later in his career. Team actually had showed a lot of interest in him

Not a fan of Chenal that high at all. I worry he's nothing more than a good college player limited by his middling athletic profile.

Consider we lost both Williams and Collins, that's a good thing I think if we get Rainmann. If Steele starts at RT, then Rainmann can handle the LG position, and shift to LT when Tyron has to miss games, which then brings Parnham in as the fill in LG. Once Tyron leaves, I think this would become the new lineup on the left side.

Could be, but I like the way he rushes the passer, and I was thinking another linebacker there, if I got the trade there that I got or a similar one would be great. If I got the 3rd instead of the 2nd in this scenario, my next pick would be Cameron Thomas, and the 3rd would've been a WR from Boise State.

Both lineman might have that positional flex that this team covets. With so many needs, I wonder if they will be able to double up in that area.

That was why I looked for the trade. I think without a trade, it won't happen. Frankly, I don't think we will be able to fill a lot of needs without a trade. Sure, the trade for a 2nd might be a tad unrealistic for moving back a few spots, but an extra 3rd would go a long way. That kind of trade meant I could add an extra linebacker to make that a strength. It meant I could double up on oline, meaning that we can go back to what our team likes to do more easily. Especially as our oline needs rebuilding. I was able to get an underrated WR in round 4 because of that. We need to try and move back a few spots if we can. It'd especially be good if we can add more FAs.

I have seen Watson as high as the 2nd rd, but perhaps him coming from a small school will drop him. Think any trades outside of the top 10 will be difficult as many believe similar rated players from 10-40 in this year's class.

Which is true, which speaks to the need for more FAs. I could see a team like the Chiefs moving up, so a trade down with them might be good too. Any extra picks we can get would be helpful.

Solid picks at spots where is is possible that those players will be available.

I won't comment the trades. In general the trade chart indicates if mock-draft trades are reasonable.

I appreciate that. I think this would be a nice draft if it went this way for us.
