Don't be surprised if Tariq is a surprise pick by the Cowboys, even as high as their 2nd rd selection. He fits Dan Quinn's long CB to a tee. 6'4 205 with 33 inch arms and ran an insane 4.26 40. Former WR.I know they did meet with him at the combine.

Are you trading Brown? And is he better than Bossman? If the answer isn’t a yes to both it seems like wasted pick that high.

The Cowboys are pretty set in the secondary but if he lasts later then the second I could see it.

This is why I'm starting to wonder if a trade down ( extra 2nd or 3rd ) might be the best route........I know it takes two. But it seems there's going to be some good value day-2.

Excellent value on day 2, but unless someone of value falls, doubt a trade back would be available

They play Nickel or Dime on almost all snaps.
- i.e. 3 CBs
- They used Safeties in Dime but could use a CB, especially with a big CB.
- I don't see drafting a CB in R2 as their primary plan but as a BPA strategy, it's not unreasonable if the CB is a better prospect that other available options.

Having said that, Woolen seems more like a 3rd rounder.
- Small school.
- Technique needs some work.

He also like to hit.

Small school and raw technique likely keep him in the 3rd round.

Brown and Lewis are short termers. Brown is going into a walk year. I think it would be less about being better than Bossman than it would being better than Wright.

CB shouldn't be high on their list of needs, but I can see them making that pick if a guy they really like is there on day 2. It would be basically be hedging their bets on Wright. I have hard time seeing that in that in the 2nd, but I can see it in the 3rd. And I agree with others here that Woolen is more of a 3rd round prospect

No doubt he needs development, but I do believe he is the better prospect then Nashon Wright who we drafted in 3rd rd last yr

The likes of Brown/Lewis aren’t long term fixtures, just bridge starters at this juncture. They wouldn’t prevent them taking another high corner
