I’ve stated in the past, my best friend is a big Dolphins fan. So, I’m pretty familiar with Parker and his play style. He’s a possession receiver that actually would work with the trio of Gallup, Lamb, and Washington.
Gallup would stretch the defense and his improvising sideline catches are fun; Lamb hopefully propels himself to an all around great WR, but with Parker, it’ll allow Lamb to continue to excel in the slot; Washington imo could be our Randall Cobb. He’s a smaller, yet tough WR that can alternate from slot and X WR. Adding Parker..would legitimize our WR core and not prevent us from drafting/stealing a mid Rd in a draft rich of WR talent
That said, I would not trade for him. He’s never started 16 games in his career(and now it’s 17!). His nearly $6mil base salary is too much for a WR that can’t seem to stay healthy and approaching 30yo. Possession WRs skillset seems to fall off quite sharply after 30, unless they have the non-teachable skill of speed. Parker hasn’t ever been known as a blazer, but he has tremendous hands. If acquired on a cheap salary once cut, then I’m all in.
