Atlanta wanted to come up for Matt Corral but they didn’t want to come up bad enough and wouldn’t let me fleece them. Cleveland gave me 44, 78, 99 and 118 for 24 where they took Drake London. Hard call when you can only take two of DE/G/WR in 2nd round. More depth at WR so I waited til on that.

Not bad for a trade down, but I care more about the OL. If we find a starting LG in FA or a trade, then I’m open to anything, but if not and we take another WR or edge player over the OL, I won’t be happy. This offense needs to get back to running the ball. Get a starting OG in round 1, then edge/LB type in 2, WR/OT/TE with the following.

If we get lucky, I’d even go OT and OG with first two picks if the right guy is there at 24.

I took UCLA LT Sean Rhyan to play LG at 56. I could have taken him with first 2nd rounder but it was a judgement call on edge rushers going quicker than interior OL.

Thanks for the effort. Just wish we would make the trades more realistic.

Only in the CowboysZone does Jerry always fleece our rivals in trades.
We ALWAYS seem to get way more than we give up via the chart.

By the chart--which is pretty much adhered to within 5% in every trade outside the top 3 picks in the last decade we
give up only 740
they give up 822

Yet in the last 10 years, this maybe has happened a handful of times...if that
The trade would be just fine if we threw in a late rounder and did not get their 118.

But whatever...all in good fun and make-believe.

The only way I'm trading out of the first round is if I get a next years #1 pick next year in return.
And preferably from a team that will lose a lot of games this season.
The 2023 draft would be great to have two first rounders in. Our pick alone should be fairly high. I don't see us having a very good season next year.
