Possible BPA at 24- Devin Lloyd

Reach, he's ranked 28th and Utah players frequently fall short in the NFL.

I wouldn’t let Anae not panning out somehow mean Utah players are trash. A quick glance of their draft history recently is actually encouraging.

Let's just say I'm glad Chicago Picked Jaylon Johnson over Trevon Diggs.

Poor play speed. No, it's not just you.

I'd call it way overdrafted. More of a good 2nd round pick type.

Exactly! I really want to like the player but this is all I see

6’3 235 Versatile and highly ranked LB that could fall due only to position value. Cowboys had him in for a visit showing clear interest.

Your reaction if Lloyd is the pick for the Cowboys at 24…?

Thumb Up. I favor BPA.

He is the consensus #1 LB in this draft.

We saw how a dynamic LB can impact the entire defense last year.

Easier to give Parsons more snaps as a pass rusher.

I wouldn’t hate it.
I think they need one in the first 3 rounds, so…..

Zuerline just mocked him to us at 24. He is a veteran insider with legitimate connections. I hate that for the Cowboys, but teams always over draft Tackles, especially Left Tackles. Some will question his lack of length,/strength, but he has tremendous footwork and athletic abilities.
He's not NFL ready. Don't see how we can afford a 1st rounder for the future.

Consensus? I don't see it. Just looking at one I trust, they have Harris as the #1 LB. And If you're including OLB's, Ojabo.

Nice player. But taking the same position 2 years in a row is bad business.

I think it’s him and Dean but I I like Lloyds size and length more.

Dude is also versatile too and can do it all. I think the key for him is you let him play WILL, not Mike, and flow free to the ball.

Would probably be disappointed. Linebacker is such a collision position. We hit the jackpot last year. I would prefer using a mid round pick for a depth/developmental pick and using 24 fir another position.

this

One of the best players in the draft, instantly upgrades the defense. That said I will be shocked if the pick isn't offense. I would love if it was Lloyd but seriously doubt it.

I would love for the pick to be defense in round one.

I would love it because it would mean Parsons could be full time pass rusher with Lloyd playing middle linebacker. Instantly up grades the defense.

All indications are that Dallas prefers to have Parsons play in multiple spots so I don't think they are looking to take a LB in first round or 2. Right now they are planning on Cox and LVE as their LB options after Parsons. I do think another LB is needed, just not sure it will be Day 1 or even 2.

I agree to an extent but remember last offseason the Cowboys did not need a linebacker either. You also can’t really depend on LVE. One year contract and Cox is coming back from an injury. Also Parsons can still move around. It would make his movement more effective with a player like Lloyd.

I’m happy. He’s a consensus top 20 talent on almost every big board out there and he fits a need.

He’s a legit, 3 down LBr that gives you plus blitz ability so helps us with pressure.

Base downs you have Parsons at MLB and Lloyd at the WILL, then nickel downs you have Lloyd and Cox as your LBs with Parsons rushing.

I'm also good with the pick, if that's what we decide.
