Happy Easter!

Happy easter. Now to be stuck in church for over 3 hours with the wife and kids later. Awful

I've got to ask, what denomination?

Growing up Russian Orthodox, we we're known for some pretty long services but I'm not certain if we ever hit 3 hours, but holding the candles as an alter boy on Good Thursday during the 12 Gospels was kind of brutal if you drew the short stick to hold the Throstia (sp?).

Baptist. Im not really big on church but my wifes family is pretty churchy. Services are a minimum 3 hours might be even longer. Her gma in the choir and all that. I hate it tbh

I'm really thankful for my church. As I said, I went to the Easter Vigil Mass. My priest is a really cool priest, and the way the service was carried out was beautiful the whole way through. Most of the Mass was sung last night in a beautiful way.

The irony is my hometown is a couple of hours north west of Philly, were I grew up Russian Orthodox.

I moved to the Bible belt 20 years ago, and finally after leaving a methodist church down here, now go to a pretty cool technically Baptist church (way too much fire and brimstone down south for me, I don't need to told I'm going to hell LOL).

3 hours on a regular Sunday would be way to long for me. Heck, I go to church wearing shorts and sandals most of the time anyways.

However, you're with your family during this time, and don't forget that. I lost my one 16 year old boy this year, and I'd give ANYTHING to be able to spend 3 hours in church with him one more time to tell him how much he means to me;)
