lol. In my opinion, Apple+ programming price structure mirrors that of Directv. In other words, prices that lean towards the high end of the scale.

Any substantial difference between Directv's current NFL Sunday Ticket price packaging and whatever Apple has dreamed up may be slim-to-none. Like others, I would hope Apple would consider a la carte subscription packages but I will not hold my breath waiting to see that happen either.

If apple offers just Sunday ticket you can pay to stream. Ok. I’ll get it.

if they want me to subscribe to Apple TV to have access. Pass.

Might be bad for Apple users who don’t care for football because Apple may raise the prices for Apple TV and the accessories.

Also bad news for the DT customers who would get ST every other year for free because I’m guessing it will be around the 200-250 range.

This is amazing news for anyone that loves Apple including the shareholders.

Bye-bye, auf wiedersehen, adios, sayonara DirecTv. As long as they don't force consumers to buy their products, and the price doesn't skyrocket. With that being said, I fully expect Apple to force us to buy their products, and the price to increase substantially.

May be a combination. If they bag projects and continue to lag behind the other streamers with good product as they are now, I am dumping them. I won't care what they offer with ST.

I am one of the Apple 180's. As big a fan as I was at one time, that's how much I don't like their products and services now.

Going to be interesting to see what DirecTV does because once they were out from under the ATT evil empire, things began changing. Some of them rapid fire.

And like ATT, they began to do deep think tank stuff on their core business.

At least DirecTV delivered other entertainment along with the ST, what's Apple got? They're at the bottom of the streamers and free access from product sales is all that's keeping them in the game.

Agreed. Price is insane for a bunch of crap games.

I pay for Hulu Live and get all of the in market games. Just wish they would allow people to pick and choose which out of market games you can get. As a Dallas fan, it's insane paying for Sunday ticket for just 2-3 games a season.

It makes them more money. Think of how we buy cars. It used to be you can pick and choose every feature individually. Now they bundle items to get you to pay for what you want, and what you don't want. Can't get this without that, and so on.

The NFL does it again! Apple actually has less subscribers than DirecTV. Apple is one of the smallest streaming services out there with only about 10 million customers. Netflix has 204 million and Amazon has 150 million. The NFL seems to want to keep their streaming service to a minimum.

Sunday ticket was worth it when NFL football was cool….but this garbage today is worth $0

There was a time I was looking to get Sunday ticket but couldn't because I had to get DTV. The money wasn't even an issue because I loved it. Now it just doesn't interest me enough anymore to take on that cost. What kept me interested over the years besides the Cowboys was watching great teams play. You don't see them anymore.

What's so great about a few good teams in a sea of mediocre teams, and a few playing for the number 1 pick overall? And I'm not even getting into the way the game has changed. That's besides my point. But that's just my opinion.

Excuse my ignorance, but does it even matter to the NFL? Don't they just take the highest bidder?

Everything Apple touches is instantly overpriced. My dream of a lower cost option is crushed.

They’ll tack it on to the price of your iPhone. You’ll hardly notice the extra money in the installments you’re already paying. Of course if you don’t have an iPhone you won’t be able to watch football.

I got NFL ST free the past two years, and 4 or the last 5.
They told me I should be getting it free again this year.

So yeah, this would suck for DTV subscribers.
Also as DTV now has a Stream service for a lot less the cost of the Dish service, as people migrate to that, the Stream does not have ST, only Dish subscribers. As that is what the contract was for.

Yes you can, most smart TV’s have the Apple TV app. You do not need an iPhone.

Apple TV is only $4.99 a month for the basic service. I think there is a higher price service, not sure.
I had it free for a year. But there was nothing on it I watched, so cancelled it.
