I'd take this draft B++.

I think OL, DT in 1-2 any order
and TE, LB in 3-4 any order
with DE, WR, OL competition, and CB/S in 5-6
would be ideal and the only way i would give an A to a draft........

This is awful close though .

I would like to get OT, OG, and OC but it's hard to get good players at all three in one draft. After Cross, Neal, and Ekwonu they start to have some flaws. I'm not sure Penning would be a good LT and Raimann is developmental.

I like the first 3 and I really like Woods… but I think he’s going to go way before the 155th pick. Way before.

You know that I like Paschal but if I can get an edge like Mafe or Ebiketie, that’s the type of athletic rusher that I want to add to what Dallas already has.

I’d love to get Paschal in the 4th but I think he goes earlier than that too.

If Green, Zion and Tyler Smith are available, I try to trade down to end of 1st or R2-1.

Woods will get drafted much earlier.

For me that's like saying if Olave, Dotson, and Watson are there you would trade back. I like Green quite a bit more than either of those. One of the TEs will fall, there seems to be quite a few this year. He's just the one the simulator offered up.

I used to take Ebiketie at 56 but he and Mafe were both gone so I traded back. Robinson needs to develop but he's shown some nice ability in his short time at the position. NFL gives him a plus starter grade 6.3. Not that it matters but I've quit taking Williams, don't know what they're thinking but the Kelvin Joseph thing has soured me a little. With Schultz under contract I'm not that hung up on woods, there are quite a few good TEs this year and he was the one that was there. I think one of them would be there.

Overview
Wideout turned quarterback hunter with the bricks and mortar needed to build an impactful career as a 3-4 outside linebacker or 4-3 rush end. Robinson frequently flashes despite his relative inexperience at the position. He's quick off the snap, using plus fluidity, athleticism and bend to trim the edge and assail the pocket. However, he needs additional moves and counters before he's ready to beat pro tackles. He must get stronger and more technically sound in run support. Aligning as a stand-up rush linebacker might help expand his range as a playmaker in space. Robinson projects as an unpolished gem with a high ceiling and stable floor.
Strengths

  • Former wideout with explosive athleticism off the edge.
  • Play is more natural than expected given his experience.
  • Races out of stance with immediate upfield threat.
  • Unveiled effective two-hand swipe against Central Michigan.
  • Sudden change of direction torments less athletic pass-setters.
  • Bends, flattens and bursts to snare the sack.
  • Fluid in space to hound scramblers or cover tight ends.
  • Hard for blockers to keep him centered up and sustained.
  • Covers serious ground and rallies to the football versus the run.
  • Knifes through B-gap to disrupt play flow on slants.
  • Can halt run play with unblocked, backside crash.

Would have no problem with this draft, and I think the one trade is reasonable. In fact, I'd be pretty pleased with it.

I’m with you. I want a pass rusher, and that means speed, bend, and athleticism. Any time I see power being mentioned, it usually means a lack of speed. I’ve seen enough of those around here already. I’m good.

I find it flawed thinking to judge Sam Williams based on who Kelvin Joseph hangs around with.

Yeah, a guy with true speed is what we need, imo. Dallas has Lawrence, Armstrong and now Fowler that can set the edge and play the run strong. They need some speed and athleticism off the Weakside, I think.

Lawrence is the strong side power rusher. We need the ‘TJ Watt’ on the other side. Oh wait…
