So, I really like this player. He looks much better on tape than his stats show. So I was wondering what fans thought about his play, and if there was a reason why his stats don't line up with the tape on him.

He was apparently buried on the depth chart and several fans were saying he wasn't getting enough opportunities.

But the fans seem to think he could have produced more if given the opportunity.

Interesting read if you care to take the time.

Wait wait wait the Steelers are an elite WR drafting team they hit on basically all their WR picks. Claypoole, JuJu, and Dionte Johnson are all very good #2 WR’s and Chase could be a 1.

It’s not a shame to be WR 4 in Pittsburgh. Especially when you’re a vertical threat and your QB and Oline do not allow for that to be utilized.
And you think this QB and OL will allow that to be utilized? The two longest pass plays of the year were to Wilson and Turner.

This is not a vertical passing team and doesn't look like they will improve on that this season.

He had a really good second season with Pittsburgh and then he just fell out of favor. It could have been a philosophy change or a coaching thing (I have no idea what when on in Pittsburgh).

Either way this is a former second round pick that has produced when actually given an opportunity, so we'll see.

Been telling people for weeks that he is an upgrade over Wilson, which he is.

He was very good at OSU but that never transferred to the NFL.

The "not enough opportunities" is a cop out. WR's create opportunities just like Claypool did.

I think he was a good pick up because he feels back home and with a second chance but this is it for him. No excuses, prove the bust sayers wrong.

He's not better than Claypool if thats what you mean. All 3 guys in front of him were better. But those are 3 really good WR's.

I am hoping he proves you wrong.

are you still hurting because romo hurt you? you know all romo haters are blind dak lovers.

Romo quit on you, get over it. I in particular liked both Romo and Dak.

The best part is that Romo and Dak are near identical in stats and performance up to this point in their careers and guys like you dont like one of them. I you dont like one, you dont like the other.

Another laughable contradiction in the life of a Dak hating troll. Same goes for the Romo haters.

Me too, I watched him play at OSU and really liked his game. I thought he would have done better in the NFL but sometimes a change can make a big difference.

One thing in his favor with Gallup out and Wilson and Turner gone, he's going to get a lot of reps. And Prescott needs him to get the timing down fast.

I think he'll have his opportunity to shine and will be a solid role player. I don't think Gallup will be the Gallup that we saw prior to his injury. I think we are all going to be talking about the contract that the Cowboys gave to Gallup.

lmao. like I give a crap about either.
romo didn't win crap and dak as sure as crap isn't winning anything. the idiot can't read the defense and if he can, he's slower than a handicapped person.

He was a vertical threat on a team that had an aging QB who couldn’t take advantage of his skillset. Same team that also hits on literally every WR pick and the other guys in the room fit better with what Ben could do at that stage in his career.

Does anyone think Ray-Ray McCloud is better than Washington? No, but he got much more work because his game is screens and short passes; which is the only thing Ben could do consistently.

Purely a poor fit, if you watch his tape you can see clear separation and ability. He’s a good 3 with 2 potential.
I believe so as well, and Washington might prove what he has to offer early with the Gallup situation entering the season, so adding Washington was a good FA acquisition for cover initially, and when Gallup gets back in the mix there could be some surprising chemistry.
Different profiles, yet very similar WRs as far as skill level, would be nice to have both running intermediate routes, and let CD roam.
Im not seeing the Loss of Coop, Wilson, Turner as being as devastating to this WR core as some are fearing, and at the same time I will give KM no free pass because of the departures.
If anything Im predicting a dialed down more conservative offensive approach, that doesnt have to mean boring, but if KM has a clue, he better redial back to game 1 last season and learn from that prior success.
We can get this OL addressed with the right player, would rather grab one early and spend just 1 solid pick for OL, and let the draft fall no reason to reach, various positions can be addressed.
Keep those 5ths and let McClay and Quinn grab some playmakers.
Sorry for the derailment and rant, Im just getting a little interested in the draft.
