My first ever pair of prescription glasses

Everything is more blurry when I wear them and it's giving me a headache.
Do they take getting adjusted to or did they make the lenses wrong?
There's no way I'll be able to drive with these on.

I am typing this post as I wear them and I can't tell what I'm typing until i take the glasses off.

Any advice?

Maybe you need ‘readers’ or bifocals? From your description it sounds like it’s an up close, reading issue.

Your glasses should be comfortable with no headaches. I would go back to your optometrist.

Maybe you need ‘readers’ or bifocals? From your description it sounds like it’s an up close, reading issue.

Since they're prescription glasses, I'd think whomever prescribed them would have tested to see what he needs.

My advice would be to let them know and have you sit down with an optometrist to determine a proper prescription.

it’s totally normal. The first couple of days. It kind of feels like you’re looking through a fish bowl.

Your brain and eyes will adjust and then you will start to see clearly.

My advice would be. Wear the glasses as often as possible. If you need to take them off to drive or for safety reasons. That is fine. But if it’s not a safety issue. Wear them. The longer you do, the sooner your eyes will adjust and you’ll be seeing well through them.

Just wear them a little longer to see if it stops. Your eyes have to get used to the new amount of light they're absorbing. If it lasts longer than a week then go back to your eye doctor. But keep in mind the edges of those safety glasses are not prescribed. So as you look through them, especially toward the edges, your vision is will be altered. And that's going to happen for as long as you need to wear them. Might be better if you get regular glasses and just use side shields.

The lab probably messed up the prescription and/or reversed the +/- signs. It happens more often than one would think.

I got old man eyes now, bro.

It sucked until it stopped sucking.

There will be a time when you will need it more than you did before.

That for me, at least, was when the full transition to glasses occurred.
