Peter King's FIMA mock

I wouldn't mind that a bit. I was watching the final mock draft by space cowboy and he said Biadasz doesn't make the line calls.

FMIA: 2022 NFL Mock Draft Features A Top 10 Trade, An Early Wideout Run And A Couple Quarterback Surprises
King shows everyone once again he does not have a clue about the Dallas Cowboys. I will say this if the Cowboys draft a guard in the second round I would not have an issue with Linderbaum with a small trade down. I have a feeling he could be a Parsons type on the offensive line. A top eight player at the beginning of the combine.

Just me, but unless something crazy happens, I think the pick will be OL. There's a feeling all the top WRs are coming off the board within the top 15 picks.......call it the Tyree Hill/Adams effect. (lol) We haven't anything to suggest they're interested in a DE/Edge at 24. To me, that leaves two options.......go with the safe pick OL or trade down.

Same here. I'd bet they'd like to trade down. Let's say Linderbaum, Green, Zion are all on the board. A trade down would make a ton of sense, and take the one of those three that is left, or if they're gone, take the next tier of edge rushers like Mafe, Ebikitie, or a WR like Pickens or Watson (depending on how far they go down).

Agree....100%

imo the cowboys will not pick Linderbaum(atleast at 24)when guys like Zion are available. I would try to trade up first for Jermaine johnson in this case.

Look at that 7 WRs in the first. Plenty of choices at 56 or 88, huh. Also saw a live mock with several people being streamed, same thing happened with WR in the first.

Seems like Peter King’s not even bothering doing the research anymore:

1. “Ekwonu is versatile and athletic, not the mauler that the other two top tackles are, but a cornerstone and smart lineman who should be the long-time leader of a currently lousy group.”

Did he really just say Ekwonu is not a mauler? That’s precisely the kid’s calling card, lol.

2. “(Charles) Cross, one GM told me, is the best pass-protector of the three top tackles, a power-forward type (6-7 ½, 335).”

Cool story Pete, but Cross measured in at 6’-4 1/2”, 307 lbs. at the Combine.

Why?

Nobody would be shocked if the Cowboys drafted Linderbaum.
There are no back channel rumors that the Cowboys have spoke to or watched Linderbaum work out. I will say this I have come around on Linderbaum. I don’t know how he went from a top 8 prospect to not even being a first round pick. He is better then our current center and I think he could have a Parsons effect on the offensive line.

I could be wrong here, but I have seen little to no information on Dallas being interested in Linderbaum.

This could be another Lamb situation where he slides. But Dallas does have to think there is a possibility that he slides to them. It just doesn't seem like there is much smoke behind this.

Like I said, I could be wrong as I am unable to follow it like I have in years past and am likely completely wrong here.

I personally think you could get Linderbaum in the first and a good OG in the second and completely revamp your line.

However I don't think they will take him. I think if they have a choice of interior Oline they will take Kenyon Green.

Zion could play guard and Center if needed but I think they like Kenyon because they can play him at OG and he could play OT in a pinch.

I think they also think the same for Bernhard Raimann (sp?) I think they think that he can start off at OG and possibly move to OT.

I for one, absolutely hate this pick. I am just not a fan of a guy who is 25 years old and will need a year or two to be NFL ready. If I am going with a CMU that needs some time, I will just take Luke Goedeke and get him much later in the draft.

I feel much safer drafting an OG that is a stud that can move to OT in two seasons as opposed to a solid OT that possibly can be good at OG.

Green, Zion are plug and play high IQ guys that just pop off on film.

Don;t get me wrong. I would only take BR if we were wiped out and could not trade down and I honestly can't think of a scenario where we could not find a player I liked more.

But what I, or in this case we, think of him really does not matter...it is what they think of him.

This is the point I've been trying to make.......just haven't seen enough dissatisfaction ( from coaches/FO) with Biadasz to use a 1st rounder on a replacement, especially one that can ONLY play center.
