Draft Debate Topic: Trading up for Thibodeaux

Last top topic before the draft comes on the heals of Breer rumor that says "Cowboys have the radar up for Thibodeaux". Lets go with a 2nd rounder as what they give up

Would you be willing to give up a 2nd round pick to move up to get Kayvon Thibodeaux?

24+56 can get you to 15. So that's how far he'd need to drop.

It appears they are looking at him more as a faller than a guy they are aggressively going to pursue. I dont see them making a move on him that will cost a day 1

I have heard a lot of teams in the 10-20 range are looking to trade down do to the lack of real stars in this Draft; especially the dearth of QBs. Not many CAN'T MISS guys in this draft.

1+2 won’t get you much higher than early teens or 10ish at the absolute best if the price is a bit cheaper than normal if most teams want to move down. I don’t think it’s likely he falls to 10. But you never know. I would do it.

My assumption on the report is that they looking at Thibodeaux if he drops. Their target for a trade would be early teens. If the price to move up is less this year than normal, a 2nd probably gets it done. I really really dont see them giving up a 2023 1st

Yeah, that's an overpay IMO. Thibodeaux is a talented kid but he's raw and has a decent enough bust factor to make that one scary trade.
